Recent pickups from the last two weeks

Geto Boys' We Can't Be Stopped (713 day edition - sound is fair, not much top end,) Mitski's Nothing's About To Happen To Me (Barnes and Noble blue cat eye vinyl - decent sound & tunes,) Utopia's Another Live (repeated pops at the beginning of side 1, sound is fair but my OG Santa Maria sounds better) and both of the new Sun City Girls' Cloaven Cassettes reissues.

My next purchases may be the MoFi Brain Salad Surgery or the 45RPM Nursery Cryme...

Charles Gayle- Milford Graves - William Parker

Webo triple LP on the Black Editions Archive label. Driving, swirling and weaving sounds, fast paced but not frantic. Excellent sound quality too!

Electric Ballroom vinyl

This is the mono broadcast source. The vinyl is pretty, but the sound quality is not great. They also cut Eriatarka and put the encore at the end of side 2 for some reason...

Playing through the "Savage Young Du" box today

Looks like I got screwed out of a seven inch because I supported a local independent record store instead of buying online. Bummer...

Quad Cartridges

Here's some quads. I'm guessing the Harry Partch one is pretty rare. The Pink Floyds are evidently SQ decoded instead of truly discrete. Not sure why the label did that...

Just finished this one. Die-cut sleeve. Spin Clean, Ultrasonic cleaner, played with my Hana EH, then stored in a fresh mo-fi sleeve.

Be through Ca

Favorites in this tote are Master Of Reality (with the split up Into The Void), Lord Buckley, Tim Buckley & Maria Callas.

James Brown's Live at the Garden is freaking AMAZING, but the cart is in bad shape, the original foil splice was in the wrong spot (in the middle of the program) due to a manufacturing defect, and the overdubbed fake crowd noise is layered over the music, so it's a tough listen.

The Gary Burton ECM is the newest one. I unsealed it & replaced the pad, so that one sounds great! The original splice is still nice and strong. That's one dirty little secret of 8 track collecting: not every single splice needs to be cut out and replaced!

Alice Coltrane's plastic-core rubber roller looks to be in good shape. Thanks to "Bobby" for the autographs!

The Grant Green title was originally released on Blue Note!!!!!

Here's most of my cassettes. The top tote is mostly noise/experimental cassettes in non-standard packaging. The tote & racks below are A through Z.
