Anyone flying to Minneapolis in the next few days who'd be willing to bring a kitten home to his family? 🐾✈️

Aloha, Portland!

I'm hoping to get lucky again after you were so helpful with the last kitty, Bear. 🙏

We're trying to reunite Seamus, a 3-month-old rescue kitten, with his mom in Minneapolis. While his family was moving from Kona to Minnesota, Seamus escaped from the car at their hotel. His mom missed two flights searching for him, but eventually had to leave with her other two cats and dog. Then came the call she'd been praying for. Seamus was found! He's microchipped and has been safe in a foster home in Kona ever since.

He's only 3 months old and has a heart murmur, so getting him home safely matters a lot. 💕

The good news: we've got someone flying him into PDX on the 20th where I can foster till he flies out. Now we just need the last leg

Is anyone here flying PDX → Minneapolis (MSP) between the 21st and ~24th and willing to bring a carry-on kitten along?

We handle the carrier, paperwork, and all the logistics, you just need a seat on the plane.

Already flying that route or know someone who is? Drop a comment and I'll fill you in! 🐱

You can submit your flight at flyhawaiicats.org just select "other" in the departure drop down.

Flying from Portland to NYC, Philly, or Boston in August? Can you escort a kitten home? 🐱

Hi Portland! 👋

A little tuxedo kitten named, Leo, was found injured on someone's vacation in Hawaii. They fell in love and adopted him. He's flying to me in Portland, and I'll be fostering him starting the 12th. I just need someone to take him the rest of the way to the East Coast.

If you're flying PDX → NY/Philly/Boston on or after August 12th, you could help!

He's tiny and rides in-cabin under the seat. The rescue handles all the logistics, paperwork, fees, etc. you just have to travel with a cute little kitty. 😹

If you can help Leo submit your flight info securely at flyhawaiicats.org 💜

Questions? Drop a comment. Happy to answer.

Anyone here travel to/from Hawaii often and want to fly with a rescue cat?

Hi, Portland neighbors! Does anyone travel between Portland and Hawaii semi-regularly (for work, family, whatever)? I volunteer with a cat rescue that flies cats from Hawaii to their forever homes on the mainland. PDX is actually one of the main hubs because of how the flights work, so we're trying to grow our network of volunteers here. You basically just have a cat in a carrier with you for the flight and hand them off at the other end.

It's a pretty low-effort way to help a super cute kitty if you're already making the trip anyway. If that sounds like you, sign up at flyhawaiicats.org!

Happy to answer questions in the comments if anyone's curious or wants to sign up!

Anyone flying PDX to Cincinnati/Ohio/Kentucky soon and want to fly with a cute kitten?

Hi friends!

Bear is traveling from Hawaii from Love a cat Charity to his forever home and being reunited with his siblings. There is a flight set up from Hawaii to Portland already On July 18. But we need someone on the 18th or later who is flying from PDX to Cincinnati/ Kentucky or Ohio. If you are flying even a day or so later, you can still help as he will have a foster if needed.

Bear would meet you at the airport and travel with you under your seat. His flight costs and cuddles with a cute kitty included.

Sign up : Flyhawaiicats.com

Even if you can't help this time we are always looking for flight volunteers from anywhere in Hawaii to the mainland.

Flying home from Maui soon? You could bring a rescue animal with you 🐾

Aloha! 🌺 If you're visiting Maui and heading back to the mainland, you have a chance to change an animal's life on your way home.

I'm not affiliated with any rescue org . just someone who's overly excited after helping with a few of these transports and wanted to spread the word. There are volunteer groups that fly cats and dogs from Hawaii to their adopters on the mainland, and they're always looking for flight volunteers. It sounds like a big deal, but it's simple: the animal travels on your flight, and the rescue handles the booking, carrier, paperwork, and volunteers on both ends. You basically just show up and be their wings home.

Right now there's Ginger, a sweet, smiley girl flying Maui → Reno, still waiting for someone to escort her. 💜

There are also animals needing volunteers on flights leaving from Kona and other islands, so even if you're island-hopping or flying out elsewhere, you can still help.

No experience needed, no cost to you. just a willingness to share your trip with a furry passenger headed to their forever home.

If you're interested or curious how it works, comment or shoot me a message and I'll point you to the right folks! Link in comments🐱✈️
