Next week I’m going to tell my friend that she has been saying micro-agressive things for years and I just let them slide

I just realized that for many years of this friendship she has really said some weird things that I just let slide because “oh she didn’t mean that” “oh she was educated around people that think that’s normal to say” etc. really we are both adults now and this “little” things are starting to get to me. If she chooses to think that I’m being sensitive or that what I’m saying is a joke I will stop being her friend.
And I reflected about this after I begin a friendship with another white girl and not only she has never ever said anything micro-aggressive to me she is racially aware (which is the bare minimum now that I’m writing this)

Came out to my doctor

I just had to do it she was explaining alllllll the contraceptive methods possible when I said I could possibly start a sexual life. I just let her explain everything and told her at the end, it was just hilarious, a bit embarrassing since she practically knows me since I was 2 days old idk how to feel about it.

How relevant are your parents and how did your relationship with them change throughout the years?

I’m 20 and I haven’t come out to my parents. Even tho I’m not considering doing that formally (straight people don’t have to so why do I?), I sometimes wonder if their disapproval would be that important once I’m independent. I rarely hear adults mentioning their parents so I have a feeling I will probably be fine with it.
Buttt I like knowing others experiences
