Would this Captain make a good Bladeguard Sergeant? Ideas for kitbashing the rest?

I put this captain together when I made my Company Heroes and really like him but have no use since they’re being lead by Vulkan. I’ll be working on Adrax and Bladeguards soon and thought he’d make a good sergeant. Maybe switch his gun for a neo-volkite pistol. Think he might be a little much for a sergeant though?

I also want to make changes to the rest of the squad. I’ve got several of the Salamander upgrades already in my army so the same hammer and touch are repeated multiple times. Any other pieces I could get? Also I’m not a fan of the shields so looking for ideas on something different there.

Should I run a Captain in Gravis armor with my Eradicator squad?

I feel like I’m character heavy as it is but they seem lonely. I’ve got Vulkan w/ Company Heroes, Adrax and Bladeguard, Infernus w/ Apothecary, and Assault Intercessors w/ Chaplain.

I’ve come to really like Eradicators and have a squad of six. I was thinking of giving them a captain with War Tempered Artifice or Champion of Humanity enhancement, depending on points available after some other things.

It If I don’t I’ll have around 100 points that can go elsewhere.

If I do I’m also not sure which weapon combo is best. Relic Fist with Tempered Artifice seems pretty strong.

Second attempt at ribs. Still challenging but better than last

Made baby backs yesterday on my Weber kettle. Followed directions and timing closely, 3-2-1 and kept temp near 240. Similar how I did last time when everyone said they needed another hour so I was prepared. I’m really unsure why mine was cooking so slow when I see others posting here with that timing and it’s perfect. I didn’t take a picture of them on the grill but wondering if they should be closer to the heat side. Anyways, the meat was very tender and slid right off the bone. I think the extra uncovered cooking time hurt the sauce a little be was still good. Last thing I wish packaging would say if they removed the membrane. It was definitely removed but as I’m new had some trouble making sure and did a little damage to the side.

That’s how Out Ryders roll!

Haha so I recently posted my 1000pt army but didn’t realize there was such a difference of points between 10th ed. codex and current. I had exactly 70 points to spend and I happen to have these outriders that I bought before I knew anything and before I even wanted to play Salamanders. I just thought they looked cool. I still think they look cool so I’m adding them to my army.

New tires and a freshly lubed chain. Gonna attempt 40 miles by this weekend

Started in April with a Domane AL 2 and having a blast. Last weekend I broke my distance record of 30 miles and I’m gonna go for 40 before the weekend is over. Very happy that I was able to do minor maintenance myself. Changed tires to GT5000 and cleaned / lubed my chain.

First 1000 pts finished!

Just finished my first 1000 pts. I’ve got Vulkan with Company Heroes, Assault Intercessors with Chaplain, Infernus Squad with Apothecary, 3 Eradicators, and a Redemptor Dreadnought. Now onto my next 1000 pts.

Can’t set up cameras that came with my house

Been having the most frustrating time with this. Moved into a new house and got T Mobile internet. Got a couple cameras that are wired around the house but can’t get them set up. I changed settings to 2.4GHz and turned off advance security. Still can’t connect. I have the doorbell and a couple battery powered cameras still set up at my old house that I have zero issues with. What other issues could there be?

Is this helmet toast?

My helmet got attacked by a vicious beast. None of the wavecel stuff is messed up, only the outer shell and foam, but a friend said I shouldn’t ride with it anymore. I only just recently discovered the VT ratings and was thinking of buying one off their five star list. My wife strongly wants me to get the “best” one. PIKIO Si or POC Cytal, seems weird spending over $300 when I’m still so new but there’s a few under 100. Anyways is this damage enough to warrant buying a new helmet immediately or can I wait until I’m sure which one I want?

First time doing ribs. Up to now it’s been all beef and a lot of chicken with the vortex. Keeping heat at 250 was a lot harder than I thought. Cooked for a couple hours, wrapped, then a couple more. Couldn’t get that internal temp to that very high level for the fall off the bone tenderness because I was just super worried about over cooking. Flavor was still fantastic. Gonna try again soon.
