AIO expecting my parents to offer some compensation for watching their dogs.
My parents recently retired and I work remote so I’ve been watching their dogs when they travel. In the last few months I’ve done a 5 day stay, 13 day stay, and 7 day stay. I’m happy to do it as I love their dogs, they have a great house, and live in a beautiful (if secluded) part of the state.
I wouldn’t expect them to pay me like a dog sitter but feel like it would be nice if they offered me $100 for groceries or something. For reference my only real expense is the gas to drive 150 miles round trip. And of course as with any good parent they’ve helped me financially throughout much of my life.
I haven’t asked them for anything and probably won’t in the future. Just wondering what others think.
*Edit: Wasn’t expecting this many responses. Just want to say I have not said anything and would not say anything as mentioned above. I wouldn’t stop helping either way. Just asked to get a sense of how other people handle stuff like this.
They usually leave the fridge pretty cleared out. Maybe whatever eggs or milk they have left, peanut butter and jelly, etc.
Do I have a reasonable shot at filling in the crown with just finasteride?
[homemade] pan seared bluefin tuna with lime & cilantro brown rice, garlic grey beans, and raspberry puree
Books about small unit tactics and/or spy craft that are not self aggrandizing money grabs?
reddit.comI’m 32 and have no idea where to go from here
I have about a decade of professional cooking experience and a few years of experience as an insurance agent.
I loved working in kitchens but the pay and hours were terrible and it’s hard on the body. I now work in insurance which pays a bit better and has a better work-life balance but the job makes me absolutely miserable.
I have a BA in Philosophy and Economics. I’m open to going back to school but don’t know what a financially responsible degree would be.
For a long time I wanted to break into writing but with AI that does not seem like much of a long term plan.
Just at a complete loss of where to go from here.

What should I do with my beard?
I always get to this point then trim it down to stubble cause it looks messy. Any other options?
