Just got my XM4's

I ordered them certified open box on ebay with all accessories for 170$
These things are great.

Noises like fans / air conditioners vanish as soon as i put them on my head. When i take them off my room is so loud it sounds fake. (some noises like the higher pitch "ticks" of a ceiling fan are noticable when not playing music, but lower pitch sounds are just gone).
Im not noticing any static or buzz with the ANC like some reviews have mentioned, but these things are borderline new so maybe it comes with age.

Build quality is great, the plastic feels nice, everything feels sturdy and there are no creaks or anything.

Sound is wonderful after some EQ. Default sound is good just a little muddy. (coming from HD6XX's and moondrop chu 2's.)

Pretty confident in my decision to get these over the other used/new options at 200$

What ratio of VG to PG should be used for CBD isolate vape juice?

Never made vape juice / eliquid before. Every recipe Ive found gives quite different ratios, from 20%pg - 80%vg to 1:1. Anyone care to share what works for them?

Very conflicted on which wireless over-ears to get in the 200$ range

I'm located in the United States, and my budget is $230 USD. Would prefer refurbished if not new

I'm looking for a pair of wireless headphones for daily use (like commuting to work or doing chores). Closed-back over-ears are my preferred format. ANC would be preffered.

I currently own a pair of Sennheiser HD650's and a pair of moondrop Chu 2s. Both of which i love. Ideally i would like something pretty neutral, with a slight v shape compared to the HD650s. A bit more "fun" sounding.

Im very conflicted on my options.
The main issue is the ones that would give me a truly good experience are only within my budget if refurbished/used and both have major issues.

Let me know what you think:

Refurbished Sony XM5
$224.69
Looks like a decent pick! having good noise cancelling sounds nice. But the issues with the headband joint snapping is a turn off, especially with a reduced warranty from being refurbished. Maybe just get a repair kit once the joint breaks?

Audio-Technica ATH-M50XBT2
$234.33
Great audio and would probably be decently durable, but it completely lacks ANC. Probably my top pick because i believe it will actually last more than 2 years. Also slightly stretching my already stretched budget.

Refurbished Sony XM4
$140~
Seems like they would be more reliable than the XM5's and easier to repair if they do break, but they have somewhat inferior audio and ANC compared to the other options.

Sony ULT Wear
$158.36
Seems more reliable than the XM5s but i dont think i would like the audio, very bass tuned even without ULT mode

Refurbished Sennheiser Momentum 4
$221.48
Best audio quality at this price, but sennheiser has a very bad track record for reliability in their wireless lineup. Many reports of units being bricked, static in one ear, audio being blown out, ect. which is a concern especially with a reduced warranty from being refurbished. Personally know someone who returned the Momentum 4 TW's 2 times due to major issues and eventually just gave up and bought something else.

The Anker 317 100w charger is great

I bought this thing for around 45$ like 4 years ago (originally purchased it to revive my launch day quest 2 with a shot battery), and it has been a dream to use this entire time. It may be lacking in features (1 USB C port, no screen or anything) but it just works. It has charged everything i have subjected it to without issue.

Right now its listed for 25$ usd on amazon, which is alot less than what i paid for it.
Im not very up to date on the current best cheap chargers but this thing has been my workhorse and it has been great

XM5 Buying question

Out of all the options in the 200$ range, a refurbished XM5 looks like the best option to me. Would y'all say the XM5 is worth buying even with the hinge issue? how hard is it to do the hinge replacement when it eventually breaks? I do have a little experience disassembling xbox controllers to install mods. The headphones look pretty damn good for the price but the hinge issue is pretty off putting

Im also considering picking up some refurbished XM4s from ebay, would save like 80$ and would probably be more reliable. Is the extra cost and hassle for the XM5's improved audio quality and ANC worth it? Im pretty particular about audio

Looking for wireless headphones for 200$~

'm located in the United States, and my budget is $230 USD. New or used is fine.

I'm looking for a pair of wireless headphones for daily use (like commuting to work or doing chores). Closed-back over-ears are my preferred format. ANC would be nice, but is not a requirement.

Ideally i would want a mild V-shape compared to my Sennheiser HD650, a bit more bass extension and treble air, but with the mids staying present and clear. Not a basshead tuning, just more of an energetic version of a balanced sound.

I like the sound profile my Moondrop Chu 2s provide, but cabled IEMs are something I would rather use sitting at a desk. (to be clear i prefer the HD650's most of the time)

My current top considerations are:

  1. Sony WH-1000XM5 (Amazon Refurbished) w/ EQ to tame the bass - Seems like a reliable pick

  2. Sennheiser Momentum 4 (Amazon Refurbished) - This would be my top pick simply for the superior audio, but im worried about sennheiser's quality control and software issues on their wireless devices. Especially since its used. IDK!!

  3. Anker Space Q45 - Seems like a good pick if im buying new

Let me know what you think!
