Give me your hamburger bun recipes…. It’s the last step to severing dependency on big brand stores and hamburger delicious goodness.

Focaccia bread (first time)

Made a few types of bread at home. We took a “breads of the world” class. This is our first attempt at home…. Tasted fantastic.

Disappointing blind buy. $3 not totally down the drain since this will make a splendid vase for flower arrangements…. Just not Neo.

I think I can count my incorrect blind buys on one hand :)

Bone white

Discovered while checking a piece of purple glass for selenium content at the maumee antique mall.

(At $2 it came home with me)

My only find at the Maumee antique mall.

The place was huge. My local antique mall is 50,000 square feet.. and I think this one was larger. A few gems WAY overpriced, and lots of common stuff I already have in the uranium glass department. This was the one and only neodymium glass in the entire store.. and I love it.

We have ARRIVED!

Ok, I don’t know about arrived…. But the reddit just hit 1,000 weekly visitors. MOD mail suggest this is an impressive milestone and I should share it with the community. So here we are :)

Thank you to everyone posting your glowy glass. This started as a place to post about my finds, share identifications and such.. no expectations other than that but it’s grown so much. Keep it coming!

BIG shout out to u/Wimbley_donner for stepping in as moderator! I work crazy long hours and the help is greatly appreciated. Shoutout to everyone else for being a great community who really doesn’t need moderating, I find glass folk are a pretty kewl crowd.

Anyhow, that’s about it.. think we can hit 10k weekly visitors??? Cross post, link or whatever.. spread the word. If we hit 10k I’ll do a drawing of some sort for a large chunk of my manganese collection (minus the punch bowl.. I don’t even know how I would ship that)

Much love, u/btfreflex

Long dry streak.

Both have lips like they were lids for something. Haven’t looked into maker or anything yet. My guess is taper candle holders, but them being lids is kinda weird.

Annoying but satisfying non pool repeated pool maintenance.

Not a bad way to kill a Sunday afternoon and a six pack.

Antique store finds, nothing came home :(

Neo puppers was a close contender, but I couldn’t do it.

Custard bunny was nice, but not $280 nice. Steuben ribbed vase had such a nice glow.. but not $400 nice.

Glaze, glaze everywhere.

Some of it pretty heavy. With so much stacked I kinda wish my Geiger had been with me.

We have a 20something foot above ground pool. Tossing the idea around of not opening it this year. Had it for 6 years and the wife has kept it sparkling clear every year.. I just help with filter changes and toss in whatever chemicals she needs.. and get out leaves.

Anything anyone recommends or suggest to NOT open the pool for a year? Running a gas heater (needs a new gas valve, another expense I’m ok with putting off a year) some large R2D2 looking filter with cylindrical filter (not sand). It’s been closed properly and covered all winter.

Any other info or specifics I can provide.. just wondering what to do in this situation to make opening it next year an easy success.
