I’m still shaking from a Zoom call yesterday. I work for an Indian company in Sales. As you all know, the heat right now is lethal in India, especially for those of us on the field.

Yesterday, April 30th, was closing day. Management called an urgent all-region meeting. A senior leader started the call with a trembling voice, saying, "We lost a brother today, not just an employee."

It turns out a guy from our Sales team collapsed from a heat stroke while working the field, had an accident, and passed away. This is reportedly the fourth such incident in the organization, but they’ve kept it quiet.

Then the "Corporate Mask" came on:

• The CEO gave a generic speech: "Carry water bottles, take an auto uber, I’ll try to increase travel allowances...blaaaablaaablaaaaa" (Typical PR fluff).
• But the kicker? At the end of the call, the first leader came back on and said: "Today, we will hit our targets FOR (Dead Guy's Name). Let’s do it for him."

They literally used a man’s death—caused by the very conditions they force us into—to motivate us to close more sales. It felt disgusting. We aren't humans to them; we are just units of productivity, even in death.

Humanity is officially dead in corporate India.

Hey everyone, is anyone else experiencing this? I’m not sure if it’s actually an issue or just how it works, but whenever I swipe up on the home screen, the app drawer opens and the keyboard pops up immediately. I find it really annoying. On other phones, you usually see the app list first and only use the search if needed. This behavior just doesn’t feel right to me.

Is there any solution or hack???
