My cat passed away earlier this week and Ive been devestated, I was with her when it happened. She had been going through liver failure so it was expected. But even though I watched her die and my father checked her heart and she wasn't blinking or moving for so long, I keep getting the horrible thought that she wasn't really dead yet before we wrapped and froze her body (preserving her is besides the point), and I've been spiraling over the idea that we were the ones that killed her by suffocating or freezing if she didn't really die. It's haunting me and I can't stop replaying it in my head even though logically that shouldn't be true but I don't know what's real anymore, I don't want to have killed my cat
