My marriage seems to be over…

Wife and I taking some “time” to rethink things and see if our marriage is worth saving. We have a 2 year old baby and we been through a lot in the last 9 years as a couple and wanting to be parents.

I was not the best partner, but I never sheat. I was financially irresponsible early on and just straight up became careless about our relationship because we used to argue a lot literally everyday.

It is a weird feeling to know that I won’t see my son everyday because she is taking him out of the county, is the best for her and him since she only got me in the USA

I can easily go see him (We are from the same country) but I know her family most likely will turns against me after being so welcome for years.

I somehow find peace in knowing that I am not arguing since they moment we wake up, and I sort of have this sense of relief/but scared for the future of my son since I will not be there with him each day like I am now.

Our marriage is not the same and has not been the same for quite some time so there is a part of me that agrees separating is the best thing.

But I am also kind of confused any tips for other similar dads that went through this?

Thanks!

Question…

I have 2 years of experience as a operations supervisor with a trucking company where we deliver groceries to one of the biggest supermarkets in the USA.

I am interested to transitioning into this line of work specially the commercial area of it (Trucks claims etc). I have an understanding of some DOT rules and obviously the transportation arena. But I never worked as an actual claims adjuster.

Can I use my existing experience to get into a role like this?

Thanks.

Transitioning out of operations

Hi all,

I wanted to ask for your opinion and see how easy would it be to transition out of operations.

I have been working for a 3PL we delivery groceries for 3 years now as a supervisor of operations. This is my first job in logistics/transportation. I started as a dispatcher and later got promoted to management.

I love the planning aspect and dispatching etc, but sometimes really dislike managing people.

Any ideas what other areas my previous background can help me move into?

Thanks!

Feeling sort of lost…

Have been working for a 3PL for 2 years as an operations supervisor. We deliver groceries to one of the biggest supermarkets in the USA.

I currently oversee and dispatch roughly 140 drivers all day and communicate with our customer about any issues.

Making roughly 80k and thinking what is ahead that can put me over the 100k mark salary. I would love to stay in the dispatching/planning aspect any tips?

Thanks!

I did it. Just made my last payment.

Huge thank you to Alanshore for answering all of my daily questions when I was struggling financially 3 years ago.

I can’t believe I was disciplined enough to never miss a payment and finish my chapter 13.

Thanks a lot for this community.

Freight Agent

Possible to be a freight agent part time?

I am working for a 3PL company where we dispatch roughly 140 drivers to deliver groceries to one of the major supermarkets in the USA.

If, this is possible I am looking to do it Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks!
