What could’ve caused this shift in the print?

Duelo progression issues.
I was doing the Duelo missions with a friend when at the sword in an abandoned shipwreck step i couldn't interact with the sword. I left the party to try and do it on my own, and then looked at the step i was on and saw it was at the “mend the duelo ribbon”. I already have it in my inventory from doing it in my friend’s party and can no longer craft it at my blacksmith.
I have tried progressing further with my friend but i do not recieve the same drops that he does, such a duelo fragment. Is there any way I can fix this or am I just soft locked on the quest? I have already opened a support ticket yesterday.
