Hormone / mood differences?

Hi,
I wondered if any women have experienced any differences in mood or hormones etc around their period since starting carnivore diet? I have had vastly different experiences and wondered if anyone had had any experiences and would be willing to share. Thank you in advance xx

2 more August skincare empties ☺️

I was going to save the packaging and do a post for August but I used these up while away on holiday and didn’t want to bring them back with me on the plane lol

WIBTAH for not letting my friends dog in my car for road trip?

In a few weeks me (f30) and a group of friends (8 of us m and f 30-33) are going to seaside for a week and have rented an air bnb. Out of the 8 going only three of us have driving licences and cars.

I assumed that I was going to be driving some people however no one actually asked me. A few days ago I was informed of the plan that I would drive 3 of my friend group. The drive itself is just over 6 hours. My car is not very big and this means with four adults and luggage it will be a tight squeeze.

Relevant that I am not comfortable driving with passengers because of a bad car accident a year and half ago. Plus because the friends coming in my car don’t drive they don’t always understand that it can be stressful ( especially because roads going across county aren’t great).

A close relative passed away about 5 days ago and so I hadn’t seen or spoken to my friends in any more detail about the trip which is why I just accepted that I was driving etc.

However, one of my friends messaged me asking if their dog can also come in the car. I really do like dogs and animals, but the car isn’t big enough to have a dog in there also and safely. Plus I don’t want to dog to mess in the car etc or get hair everywhere as it will be difficult to get out and animal hair sets off my hives. When I said that I don’t think it will work because of the size of the car and luggage, my friend got back to me saying that the dog isn’t big and can just sit in the footwell of the car.

This idea makes me even more nervous as I don’t think this is safe and essentially having a loose dog that can jump up etc when I’m driving really makes me uncomfortable. On top of this I’m pretty confident that having a dog free in the car like that while driving is illegal ( I’m not 100% certain but not the point) and my car is a personal lease and I don’t want to risk any damage to car with the dog having an accident etc.

I just feel that both a) they’re only asking me this now and b) when I’ve tried to say no and given a polite reason they’ve only focused on why my reason isn’t valid.

I don’t want to argue or fall out with people and I know that if push came to shove I would be painted as the difficult person who ‘doesn’t like dogs’.

WIBTAH if I said no firmly?

Thank you any advice would be helpful x

New and still working reddit out :P

I finally made a Reddit account after lurking for a long time, and after a little while on here, I'm realizing there's a lot I don't know yet.

I knew about karma before joining, but I didn't realize how many communities have minimum requirements.

Besides that, what was the biggest surprise when you first started using Reddit?

Could be about commenting, etiquette, avoiding common mistakes, or just something you wish someone had told you on day one.

Curious to hear what caught everyone else off guard :)

First week on Carnivore diet, injury, and old habits!

I started my carnivore diet a week ago and to be honest I have felt really good! I know it is very early days but I feel I have been sleeping better and although weight loss was not the main goal for me I have noticed that I have lost water weight etc. However I hurt my back yesterday with a trapped nerve and have been in real pain with it. Unfortunately this led to be feeling really low and I fell back into old habits and fell off the wagon and ate chocolate and sugar. I really regret is and am determined to pick myself back up and not let it spiral!
