I'm unable to access FaceTime or Zoom when using Waterfox for PC or mobile. For FaceTime, the browsers tell me to use Edge or Chrome. For Zoom, it says that I need to be on Chrome 91.
Will there be support for FaceTime and Zoom in the future?
Which video conferencing apps are supported by Waterfox?
Or are there options that need to be tweaked on my end?
I was interested in a home. Realtor says I have to sign a showing agreement/buyer's agreement. I say I would be fine with a one month agreement duration (I should have said a week) for one specific property.
I got the docusign link and the fine print says that agreement would expire in 2.5 months. I already dislike the idea of having to sign paperwork just to view a house, but it really doesn't help when the realtor tries to weasel more time to be bound to them. If a month duration wasn't okay with them, they should have said something.
I hate when realtors do this. Buyers already know that they're in a vulnerable position and it really doesn't help the image of the realtor themselves.
Hi, loving Waterfox so far, but came across some things I was interested in talking about.
First - Waterfox for PC. My school uses Canvas/Instructure for their learning management system. When I go to post a discussion question response, I get this prompt. https://i.imgur.com/c1ZYvAu.png
Is this something that will be fixed in future versions? It's not a huge deal since it proceeds as normal when I click the button.
Second - Waterfox for Android tends to randomly run in active Memory even though I didn't open it. When I do use it, my phone settings are to completely close applications after exiting them, but it likes to nibble at the memory until I intentionally clear the Memory through Device Care. It seems to ignore the settings to completely close apps after exiting them. Is this normal?

So, my mom likes to tell everyone how she regrets not going to college and chose to start a family at 18 instead. She'll go a little farther and say that it wasn't necessarily a mistake that she had kids and hitched her wagon to an alcoholic, but the overall feeling is that she knew she didn't make a great choice in life. It stings a little, but I don't blame her for feeling that way.
Anyway, she moans about a lost opportunity and says that she would have done things differently if given the chance. She says this any time the conversation is remotely about school... she always turns the conversation to herself and her regrets. I literally say "I don't mean for the conversation to go this way, let's change the subject."
The thing is though, she never had any academic acumen in the first place. She barely passed high school (she begged her high school teacher to pass her with a D in her final class, as the story goes) and she dropped out of free-for-people-her-age (elderly) community college twice. She's never helped me with my homework (she actually lost her patience with me several times when I needed help with vocab words). She doesn't read often and when she does, she reads books written for middle schoolers. Her favorite "educational show" is Jeopardy, lol. Whenever I would talk about school (I went to college and grad school) her eyes would glaze over until it was her time to speak about her regrets.
When she was briefly in community college, she'd act like a child who drew a pretty picture for doing the assignment. She seemed really excited about, for example, attaching a document to an email to her teacher. Like, cool, but that's just basic digital literacy... the bar is on the floor. Her first foray into community college ended because she thought us kids got in the way (which was false, we were teenagers and fairly self-sufficient). Her second adventure into community college ended because she just couldn't do it anymore... thankfully she didn't blame us since we were all adults by then. She thinks she has a learning disability, but refuses to get tested so that accommodations (required by law) can be accessed. I encouraged her to try again, just to stay mentally active, she shakes her head and says "no."
I hate talking to her about education-related things because she'll bring up how she should have gone to college, yet I sincerely doubt she would have even gotten into an actual accredited university. I've never brought up her academic short-comings to her face, but I wish she'd just stfu about her school regrets or put her money where her mouth is.

Problem- My phone screen glitches (green, white, yellow lines) for a second when I text. Sometimes the whole screen glitches and sometimes it's just the keyboard area (stock Samsung keyboard) that glitches. It happens with the stock text app and 2 third-party apps. I used Samsung Messages until I was forced to switch. I used Quik SMS and recently changed to Fossify Messages. All 3 exhibited this behavior. The phone gets a little warm, but it's not an unusual heat level. It's a rugged phone, so even though it's a secondhand phone, it should still be fine.
Questions-
Is it a keyboard issue?
Should I consider applying thermal paste to the inside of the phone (the phone is relatively easy to dismantle and repair)?
Does the screen need to be replaced?

It's that time of the year again.
I do many remedies for this... I clean things, I pour boiling water down drains, briefly used the apple cider traps (but they stink!), I don't eat in my room, I towel off wet spots, and I bag my trash before throwing it in the main trash can. Yet they persist.
Somehow, they're in the trash can and my roommate doesn't think to empty the trash can outside when it's their turn. I calmly explain that they need to take the trash can outside, remove the bag, clean whatever spilled (again, I bag my trash before putting it in the main trash so whatever they're throwing away is causing the bag to split (or they wait to take it out until it is overfull and bursting at the seams)), put a new bag in, and THEN bring it back inside. They get mad that I'm telling them what to do.
I guess the fruit flies don't bother them, but the fruit flies bother me a lot. I need a new place to live for other reasons, but this is one of them. :-/
I lamented to my prof that I really needed to make a friend because I was struggling with isolation. She paired me up with someone who rarely does work and based on the work they do post, doesn't do the work very well.
I'm guessing the prof thinks my work ethic will rub off on the other person, provide accountability, and improve the other person's writing. I think it's like trying to pour water from an empty cup! I don't have the energy to be someone's second teacher. I think I should have just kept my mouth shut.
Edit to add:
I sent an email to my prof with my concerns. I said that I'm happy that she connected me with someone, but I'm concerned about the inconsistency of the "friend's" work (so I can provide targeted feedback on what they post). I asked the prof to keep me in mind if she knew or came across other people who operated more on my level.
While having a friend in school does show positive graduation outcomes; negative outcomes are possible if the person is toxic or brings the stable person down.
