HELP!! Hyaluronic acid suddenly stings my skin

I recently damaged my skin barrier and have been trying to rebuild my skincare routine for the past few days… My face is sooo red throughout the day, stinging and itchy. Worst redness I’ve ever had, even worst than my after microneedling sessions I’ve had in the past.

My beloved ingredient, The Ordinary Hyuronic Acid, suddenly makes my skin sting!!! I thought it was Dokdo Toner that was stinging my face this morning! So I didn’t apply it this evening but when I applied HA my skin was on fireeeee. Would it be best to completely not use any products with HA at this point? Most of the products I use have HA… How would I hydrate my skin now? I have dry, sensitive skin.

Possible skincare routine now:
AM
• Water cleanse only
• Skin1004 Centella ampoule
• Purito soothing gel cream – however this cream isn’t ideal as it’s not hydrating enough throughout the day… (Other options: The Ordinary Natural Moisturiser, Anua 3+ Barrier Cream and Dr Althea 345 but they all contain HA…)
• Skin1004 Hyalucica sun serum (Other option: Haruharu Wonder Airfit sunscreen)

PM
• The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser – would this be too harsh? (Other option: Skin1004 Gentle cleansing milk)
• Haruharu Wonder Moisture 5.5 Soft Cleansing Gel
• Skin1004 Centella ampoule
• Purito soothing gel cream (Other options: mentioned above)

Use as needed:
• Skin1004 quick calming pads
• La Roche Posay Cicaplast B5 Spray

I also have Round Lab Dokdo toner and Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic toner (free of alc and fragrance) Would it be best to not include them in my routine for now?

Is my routine? What needs changing? Please help 🫪

Moved washing machine without transit bolts

I just bought a secondhand Haier front loader and transported it home without transit bolts. The drive was only about 13 minutes (4km)

It was in a hatchback, so it had to be angled rather than standing fully upright. We drove carefully and avoided bumps as much as possible.
It powers on normally, but I haven’t connected it or run a wash cycle yet.

How likely is that I’ve damaged the suspension or drum? As anyone else transported a front loader like this without transit bolts and had it turn out fine?

The washing machine is only 1 year old if that matters.

Property manager caught us with unauthorized cats by entering without notice. Then forced an illegal rent surcharge for 2 years. We just left – is it worth pursuing?

Kia ora everyone,

Looking for some strategic advice before we actually do something about it. We moved out of our rental property last week and want to know if it is worth pursuing our property manager for this.

Two years ago, we were keeping two kittens at our rental property. Our tenancy agreement had a standard "no pets" clause, so they were technically unauthorized.

The PM discovered them because they entered our property completely unannounced and without giving any of the legally required 48 hours' notice for an inspection.

Instead of issuing a formal 14-day notice to remedy the unauthorized pets, the PM used the discovery to issue an ultimatum: either remove them immediately or "apply to keep them" by signing a pet agreement and paying an instant rent surcharge.
In their email, the PM explicitly stated:

"As agreed your rent will be [increased $20 rent pw] from start from this Saturday to cover the increased common wear and tear from keeping the 2 kittens."
They forced this rent increase to happen instantly ("this Saturday") without giving the mandatory 60 days' written notice. At the time, we completely lacked knowledge of our rights under the RTA. We trusted the PM to act legally, and we felt under immense duress—we signed their "pet agreement" simply because we felt it was the only way to protect our housing and keep our pets.
We paid this extra amount consecutively for roughly 100 weeks, right up until we handed back the keys last week.

Can we claim back the overpayments from the very start? We understand the RTA has a strict 12-month limit for seeking exemplary damages (penalties) for an unlawful act. However, we have been told that a claim for actual financial compensation/debt recovery to get our overpaid money back can extend up to 6 years under the Limitations Act. Will the Tribunal order a full refund covering the entire 24-month duration?

How does the unlawful entry affect things? The PM only found the cats by illegally entering the property without notice. Does the fact that our cats were unauthorized "cancel out" their illegal entry, or will the Tribunal penalize them separately for breaching? (They actually entered the property 3 times without notice, but that’s another story)

How should we structure the application? Should we request a full refund of all overpaid rent stretching back the full 2 years, and then separately ask for the illegal rent premium capped at the last 12 months?

But also.. is this even worth pursuing? Financially it represents thousands of dollars for us, but how stressful/time-consuming is the actual Tribunal or mediation process for a case where we have everything in writing?

Thanks in advance for any insight :)

People call my mother “chill” now, but they don’t understand what it took to get here.

I’m Filipino (25F) and my other Filipino friends comment about how “laidback” my mom is, because she doesn’t really care about things like my tattoos, piercings, dating life, going out, or the way I choose to live my life now in general.

What they don’t understand is that I had to fight for every bit of that autonomy.

When I was younger, she was extremely strict and we fought a lot. One night, an argument over something small escalated badly. She got violent, threatened me with a knife, and slept with one under her pillow that night.

I didn’t “decide” to move out. I was forced to leave because of what happened.

The next morning, I stuffed my clothes into rubbish bags and threw them out my window so I could get out safely without another confrontation. After that, I was couch crashing and basically homeless for weeks. She continuously harrased me after that, but that’s another story.

Our relationship is actually much better now, which is why people assume things have always been easy between us. But even now, the dynamic still slips back sometimes. I’m literally typing this because she blocked me for not replying to her calls and messages immediately.

So when people say “you’re so lucky your mom is chill,” it honestly stings a little. Because they’re only seeing the version of our relationship that exists now, not the years of fear, conflict, survival, and emotional volatility that came before it.

A lot of people only see the outcome, not what it took to get there.

Just wanted to get some opinions on concert etiquette, especially for shows like Deftones where the energy can get pretty intense.

We originally tried to get GA tickets but they sold out super fast, so we ended up buying seated tickets instead (We’re gonna be in in lower section and close to stage if that matters!) I’m still really excited, but I’m wondering – is it okay to stand up and dance in a seated section? Obviously we’re not gonna be on our feet the whole time but we still wanna have fun.

I don’t want to ruin the experience for people around me who might prefer to stay seated, but at the same time it feels kinda wrong to just sit still at a show like this 😭

or if you’re going to Deftones can we ALL collectively do this pls 😭😭😭🙏
