I’ve been posting a bit on a popular sub with a large percentage of trans women and this morning I got a message request from a rando. Before I even opened his message I checked his post history and he only had 3 posts, all 3 about looking for a puppy girl without an owner, immediately ignored it but I thought I’d share lol

I’ve been playing for about 10 years now and I fear my listening habits have stunted my progress, all I wanna play is buckethead but his shreddy stuff is too fast and discourages me. I’ve actually made a lot of progress in my speed but I’m worried that if it’s just buckethead my ambitions are too big for what I can reasonably accomplish.

The main problem is that I can’t find many artists that I connect with as strongly and it’s not only limiting my range in terms of techniques but just making the instrument feel hopeless. Does anyone have some suggestions to expand my horizon and find new artists/songs to aspire to?
