I’ve seen people looking for this on here, so I thought I’d share. I don’t Facebook but I peruse there and came across this in the Sacramento area.

First year 10s for my oldest I bought her an 11.75” Rawlings Liberty Advanced I-Web as she was playing middle IF. After a year we switched orgs, and she ended up playing a lot of OF, but played with the 3/4” because 10u uses an 11” softball.
She is 12u now, so we’ve been prepping with the 12” ball for a month or so. She has been playing catch with a 12.5” Easton Ghost NX, a perfectly good glove - and I told her she needed to use that for OF in 12s and she agreed. It’s been a nuisance for her at practice to switch, but she wasn’t complaining even though I could tell she was annoyed. So my wife and I decided to get her this 12” RLA120-18W to be able to cover both middle IF and OF without changing.
She has been going through the break in process with me, and it has been so much fun to teach her and do it with her!
Just got home from a 10 day vacation. Left the sunflower on my drip system while I was gone ILO hand watering. It has exploded.
Come join our first year 12u team! All positions open. This group just placed top 9 in the 2026 PGF Nationals 10u Premier Bracket. See info and come join an amazing organization!
This is 100% water quality in my book /s
I know 99% of this sub uses Taylor test kits, but I don’t see color gradients well enough for the PH and TA tests. I know there are pocket ph testers and other solutions, but I wanted one tool for testing. So I am an Acciblue home user. Other than the silly treatment directions that come from the Leslie’s app, it works for me. And I lol’d at it not scoring this test 100%
My TA is higher than I normally keep it, but it always comes back down. The FC to CYA is right where I want it and everything else is close enough for my needs. But I only use the Accublue for testing and I follow TFP with the Pool Math app for dosing. A bonus of the membership is I get store credit of equal value for the fee, so all my chlorine and MA is purchased there (and nothing else).
I struggled in my first summer owning my pool and I came to this sub for help and direction. From there I actually learned my pool and its chemistry needs. If you’re getting discouraged - slow down and take your time. Once you find your pool’s groove, it becomes routine.
Thanks to you folks out there for your help in the past! I know I’ll be back for more advice in the future.
TL;DR: I don’t use a Taylor kit to test and am happy with my water chemistry, thanks to this sub for pointing me to TFP.
Pulled a couple of these from a hanger, not sure what they are. They don’t appear like refractors I’ve seen or the old cracked ice variants so hoping the infinite knowledge of this sub can save me some time please.

My son brought a sunflower home in a Dixie cup at the end of school. We’ve transferred it twice, but I think it needs to get out of a pot and go in the ground. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!
A little back story - glove was purchased around 2003 at the end of my career and it became my favorite outfield glove ever. I used it for slowpitch after for a year or so after hard ball, and one weekend my older brother came from out of state to play a tournament with us. He borrowed this glove, loved it, and “accidentally” took it home with him. But I have plenty of gloves, he’s my older brother, it was what it was - I let it go.
7 or 8 years later, I gave him crap for it one night and said jokingly that he stole my glove, which he basically did. So the next time I saw him he brought it with him and gave it back to me. It was pretty beat up, so I threw a ball in it and put it in a garage cabinet. It’s lived there for years until I decided to get it conditioned and re-laced.
Over 20 years later and it still feels like I could play with it today. Not terribly exciting, but I just wanted to share the resurrection of my oldest glove with others who might appreciate it!
