ISO Company To Replace PVC Railing

I've been trying to find a company or a contractor to replace our PVC railing on our front stairs without any luck for 5 years and I'm getting very frustrated. The homes pictured aren't ours but it's the closest example I could find online. We do have the same size and material railing and our stairs are also concrete like these so it's nearly exact. Our condo was built in 2010 (we're the 2nd owners) and the railing is broken and damaged in a lot of areas to the point the entire thing just needs replaced. I have researched how to replace it myself since I can buy the parts and railing, but it turned out to be more complicated and more work than myself or my husband can manage so that's why we need to hire someone.

The first thing I tried was asking our HOA what company installed our railing and they gave me their details. The company that installed them quoted us over $2,400 to replace it. I've never priced this sort of thing before so to us that seemed very high but maybe it's reasonable. I wanted to get a few more quotes from different companies before pulling the trigger. I found several companies online in south Central PA and went down the list. I gave up trying so I can't remember any of the names now.

Here is where my frustration occurs.

Half of the phone numbers I called ended up all being for the same company, even though they all had different websites and different phone numbers. I would call different phone numbers and the recordings would all announce the name of the same company that I'd just left a voicemail for.

I'd leave voicemails for every company and most of them wouldn't call me back. If someone would answer the phone or if someone would call me back, they'd refuse to come out and give an estimate or schedule the work because the job is "too small". Apparently these companies only do work on large decks and porches. I do understand that our small railing replacement may not be worth their while, but it's hard for me to believe that *no one* will do it.

I did try to find a handyman or smaller business to do it but the few I could find said the job was too big and they don't offer this service. 😭🤣

My last ditch effort is to go back to where I started and get the details of the company our HOA gave us again, but the $2,400+ quote was from 5 years ago now so I'm certain it's increased. I'm getting desperate though.

Can anyone PLEASE give me the name of a contractor or company or SOMEONE located in South Central PA who can replace our railing?

If you've done a chemical face peel what did you do to hide the shedding at work?

I've wanted to do a chemical face peel for ages and my clinic offers them. The only thing stopping me is that there would be noticeable skin shedding for 1 to 2 weeks and I work in an office. I only WFH one day a week. You're not supposed to exfoliate or pick at your face and the skin has to shred naturally.

If anyone has done a chemical peel while working onsite, how did you manage the noticeable shedding? Would a really good moisturizer help it look less obvious? Any tips?

Is anyone else afraid to take sleep aids on flights or am I mad?

I absolutely cannot fall asleep on flights. I've tried so many times. I've seen people suggest taking a sleep aid but the thought of this terrifies me. What if I take one and it just so happens there's an emergency? I can't imagine being groggy and out of it while trying to fumble with my life vest. 🤣 Obviously if the plane crashes into something it probably won't matter anyway. I realize the chances of a true emergency happening aren't high but still.

Does anyone else consider this scenario and abstain from taking sleep aids during their flights or is it just me?

Clothes with hidden animals in the patterns/designs?

I'm looking for clothes with animals hidden in the pattern that you would only notice the animals in the pattern if you look closely. I've already checked out ModCloth and I did find one adorable dress with exactly the pattern I'm looking for. But I can't find this kind of thing anywhere else.

Can anyone recommend other brands that have this?

Opinions about online returns for ASOS US?

I've read ASOS return policy and it made sense and seemed pretty standard until I got to the "Did you order an ASOS Brand Partner product?" section. It honestly sounds kind of complicated to me but maybe I'm overthinking it?

Has anyone who lives in the US ordered from ASOS US website and had to return something? What was your experience with their returns process?

Heat protectant that leaves less residue or none at all?

I'm trying to find a new heat protectant that either leaves less residue in my hair or no residue at all (doubtful no residue is possible but figured I'd ask lol).

I stopped using heat protectant in spray form because it never felt like I was coating my hair properly. I started using cream heat protectants and they do work but they leave residue and make my hair look dirty/oily no matter how sparingly I use them. I don't apply it to my roots or near the top of my head. I wait 5 - 10 minutes after applying it before using my hot tools.

Can anyone recommend a heat protectant cream or serum that doesn't leave obvious residue and make hair look dirty or oily?

Tired of low back/backless dresses!

This is something that's been driving me mad for years now. Every time I find a dress that I love the font of I instantly become disappointed when I view the back of it and see that it's either backless or low back. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's summer, fall, or winter either. I have larger boobs (US size 34 DD's) so anything backless is automatically out of the question. But low back also doesn't work for me as I'm also still self-conscious about the blemishes on my back that I have difficulty covering with concealer.

Is anyone else tired of this dress style? Or does everyone else have the right body type and confidence to wear these dresses and I'm the odd one out? lol

I am going to Spain with my husband at the end of September this year from the US. Flights and hotels are already booked. I already purchased our train tickets to travel from Madrid to Valencia, but obviously the tickets from Valencia to Barcelona are more expensive so I was planning to buy those tickets last month. Then the war with Iran dragged on and flights started getting cancelled. I decided to wait to buy our train tickets because, even though I can buy refundable tickets, I was hoping to avoid potentially having to deal with chasing another refund if our flights do end up being cancelled.

When I checked the date I needed to buy the train tickets last month on Renfe there were plenty available. Today when I checked for tickets to see if the prices had gone up, there were no available tickets and just a message saying, "The requested route is currently unavailable for the date entered or we do not have a connecting service for that route". It's just odd that there are tickets available up until the 6th of September but none available after that date, but when I checked last month train tickets were available to buy well into October. Is this because the tickets for that date are sold out? Or did something happen to that train route since last month?

If I can't purchase our train tickets on Renfe, can anyone recommend another trustworthy website where I can buy fully refundable train tickets to get from Valencia to Barcelona?
