How old are you and how much alcohol do you drink on a "normal" week?

I saw something saying that the younger generations are drinking a bit less, so im curious.

By "normal" week, i mean your average bog standard week at home. Nothing out of the ordinary like holiday or christmas etc.

Where has this obsession with Padel come from, and why is it so crazy expensive?

The past maybe year or so it seems Padel is the new thing. Everyone seems to be playing it. Kind of like how maybe 4/5 years ago there was a sudden golf craze (especially amongst blokes in their 20s/30s) seems like padel is the new golf.

What suprised me most though is why is it is RIDICULOUS expensive. I dont have exact figures but ive read that certain courts can be up to £100 for 90 minutes...

Whats your extremely specific/nostalgic memory?

Mine is when my Dad would be getting ready to go to the pub.

•he would always switch his bedroom tv on whilst getting ready

•hearing him have a shave, in paticular the tapping of the razor blade on the sink

•the smell of bay rum aftershave

To this day, any of those 3 things take me right back to a saturday night when i was a kid.

Whats the most frugal, stingy thing youve ever known someone to do?

Im talking insane penny-pinching behaviour, like the kind of thing you would see on that extreme cheapskates show

Was everyday life actually cheaper in the 90s and 2000s or is it all relatives to earnings?

I dont mean the big things like buying a house etc i mean the "everyday" treats such as going to the pub, getting a takeaway, or even just popping to the shops to get a few treats

Seems like in the 90s an average working class family could afford a takeaway once a week, go to the pub for a few beers on a weekend, and buy little cheap extra treats without really worrying about it...

Was the 90s actually better or do people remember it through rose coloured glasses?

Does anyone else sneak kids drinks and snacks into the showbar on holiday?

Before i get ripped into. Yes i buy pints and no i wouldnt sneak in alcohol.

A fruit shoot and a pack of crisps can come to like a fiver. I feel like it isnt as bad being as its for the kids😂

When is it do you think Nightclubs came to an "end"?

Its no secret that clubbing every week isnt what it used to be, especially when it comes to small town clubs.

10 years ago my town had 5 nightclubs in it, these days there is 1 left and its like a ghost town every week.

In my opinion clubbing started on the decline probobly in like 2016, then lockdown absolutely battered them.

Along with a few other factors such as cost, safety concerns and a different attitude towards drinking from the younger generation in general.

Could your employer punish/sack you for drinking 0% Beer at work?

Hypothetically lets say on my lunch break i wanted to neck down 6 cans of Heineken 0%. What possibly could my employer do...

Yes im drinking beer, but im in no way under the influence of alcohol. Im asking this cus i reckon 99% of employers would kick off about it, but from a legal perspective, surely their is nothing they can do?

What are the best Low/Zero Beers youve had?

Looking for some more low/zero beers to try.

Best one ive ever had is Brooklyn | Special Effects. Honestly really enjoyable. Id choose it over some full strength beers.

I love Bingo, but not as a player. Im a fan/spectator. I enjoying watch it live, but would like to watch it at home.

Are there any UK websites that live stream games?

Everywhere i go people are vaping. I know people who have them in their mouths almost 24/7.

Though the most insane thing is i know tons of people who never even smoked to begin with but now they vape... As in, when vapes got big, they basically took up the habit? Just seems nuts to me

In years to come i think we will look back and say

"Remember when we all used to inhale those flavoured batteries from china because we thought it was way healthier than tobacco"

Mines this stuff. Its a quid (sometimes less) and no other drink seems to even come close to tasting like it

Had a stone or whatever fling fron a lorry and hit the screen. The crack doesnt obstruct my vision, its smooth to the touch and is above my rear view mirror.

I found a local place, and although the guy couldnt get me in for repair, he was very helpful and said its safe to drive and wont "shatter" im a bit of an overthinker so was just coming on here for a 2nd opinion😂
