Leaving for 10 days and I always clean like crazy before we leave. Now I have a baby and I also have learned that the house sitter never keeps our house as clean as I like it so I'm trying to re evaluate what will actually be worth deep cleaning/decluttering/preparing before we go. Anyone have any must dos or don't waste time's specifically when you have small children?
Baby is 8 months old and very active and can crawl pull to stand and cruise along furniture. He's always been a good sleeper and mostly preferred sleeping on his back but the past week like clockwork he's been fussing from 2am to 6am, trying to get up while still latched, trying to roll while still latched, accidentally biting me, just not really being comforted by anything I do. Some times he unlatches and flips to his belly and after a few minutes of wails and but pats will pass out for like 20-30 minutes before the cycle starts again. Is this what the 8month regression looks like for a coslept baby?? What is going on???
I wanna be cool and fun and just enjoy life right now and randomly realize that we're gonna have another baby! But in reality the control freak and planning monster crawls out from the back of the bathroom closet with a LH test strip telling me that tracking one cycle won't hurt just to have a better idea of when I'm ovulating now that my cycle has changed PP! Then just like an addict, I'm huddled in the bathroom checking my pee every morning trying to play chill when my husband randomly walks in. I'm now full blown tracking and obsessing and we didn't even pull the goalie for a whole month before my TTC gremlin came out. I imagine my gremlin is like those things in Bigmouth. Anyone else?

I finally got asked if I would consider occasionally watching a friend's baby till it turns 4months. Maximum of 3x a week. I'm tempted to say yes just because I love her squishy baby, and she's a very reliable and layed back person. I'm a FTM and my baby is 8 months and hers is 2 months. I do want 2U2 of my own kids and so this could be a crash course to see how I actually like it! Am I crazy? She also mentioned that they would definitely pay me but to be fully honest, I don't know what to ask for pay especially since I'm a SAHM because my husband makes very good money and we can live upper middle class easily on his salary whereas her family I'm certain doesn't make as much as we do.
Anyways any advice for pitfalls to avoid or best practices would be helpful!
My ped (in industry for 40 years and I do like a lot) has mentioned that she has plenty of breastfed babies (under 1 year old) that sleep through the night. I know ALLL the subs officially recommended against it. But I want to hear from real people. Has it been done and youve still been able to maintain a good supply? Im getting to the point we're after 2am I'm done and I don't want to BF. I'm touched out, and Baby isn't coherent enough to not bite me. I just wanna know if other people are quitting the nightshift early too and not talking about it.
