[Promo] Looking for daily drivers to test a new kind of Android launcher "SPACE LAUNCHER" (Promo codes for all testers!)

I created a launcher that doesn't look like the traditional ones you're used to. I’m looking for genuine testers who are willing to daily drive this launcher and provide actual, constructive feedback to help me improve it.

Here is what it does:

  • Wallpaper-First Home Screen: Your wallpaper is the home screen. There are no traditional grids or cluttered app icons on top—just essential info, dynamic tools, and widgets layered cleanly over it.
  • Real Depth Widgets: It uses built-in visual processing to separate the foreground of your wallpaper, letting the clock and text sit behind the subject for a true 3D depth effect.
  • One-Swipe Hidden Space: Swipe up and your wallpaper gracefully shrinks away, revealing a hidden, customizable space for all your apps and pages.
  • Dynamic Built-in Tools: Features a horizontal widget space with 10+ built-in tools (to-do list, music player, speed dial, habit tracker, weather, etc.). Standard system widgets are also supported.
  • Unobtrusive Notifications & Quick Launch: Pin essential shortcuts to the bottom corners, and view active system notifications on a compact strip right above your navigation bar.
  • Privacy-First: 100% on-device processing, ad-free, and absolutely zero data collected.

The Reward: Every tester who helps out and provides feedback will get a promo code for the public version for free when it officially goes live.

You can check out screenshots and see the architecture here:https://catamsp.github.io/space-launch/

If you're interested in being a genuine tester and daily driving this, please drop a comment or DM me!

Accessibility utility to force auto-keyboard popup and instant search in the Funtouch OS app drawer

Hey everyone,

If you are a Vivo or iQOO user running Funtouch OS, you probably know the struggle of trying to quickly open an app. The default app drawer requires you to manually tap the top search bar every single time just to pull up the keyboard, and it completely lacks an automatic launch feature when typing.

While you can swipe down for Global Search to get an auto-keyboard popup, it feels incredibly bloated, pulls in unnecessary web or contact results, and is far too slow for a clean app-switching workflow.

To fix this, I built Qlaunch—a lightweight utility that leverages the Android Accessibility API to force the keyboard to instantly pop up the second you open the standard app drawer.

Key Features:

  • Instant Type Focus: The keyboard opens automatically as soon as the app drawer is triggered—no manual tapping required.
  • Auto-Launch Workflow: Start typing, and the utility can auto-launch the app or let you hit "Enter" to immediately open the top search result.
  • Zero Bloat: Keeps you inside your native launcher drawer without forcing web ads or system-wide global search filters.

Looking for Testers & Specific Feedback:

I am currently running a closed testing track and am looking for users running Funtouch OS or OriginOS (as the UI nodes look almost identical) to test compatibility. Specifically, I need feedback on:

  1. Does the keyboard reliably trigger on your specific Vivo/iQOO device and OS version?
  2. Does the auto-launch node register seamlessly on your device's native drawer layout?

Tester Perk: As a huge thank you for helping me test this logic during the early phase, all active beta testers will receive free lifetime access to the Pro features once the app officially hits production.

How to Join the Closed Test:

Because of Google Play's strict security rules for closed tracks, it requires a quick 2-step process to authorize your device:

  1. Step 1: Join the Google Group (This automatically authorizes your Gmail to download the build): https://groups.google.com/g/qlaunch_ct
  2. Step 2: Opt-in & Download via Google Play: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.catamsp.funfix

I'd love to hear your thoughts, bug reports, or suggestions either in the comments here or via the feedback form linked directly inside the Play Store opt-in page. Thanks for checking it out!

Built a utility to fix Funtouch OS app drawer search. Need 20 testers (Funtouch & OriginOS) to clear Play Store closed testing!

https://preview.redd.it/5mow0avfuxch1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c5b906e431b7acb05cab2506d990420eb7eba77

Hey everyone,

I’m currently on Funtouch OS and strongly dislike how the default launcher handles finding apps. If you use the standard App Drawer, you have to manually tap the search bar to bring up the keyboard, and it lacks the ability to automatically open the app when you type.

On the flip side, you can swipe down for Global Search, which does automatically pop up the keyboard. But let's be honest—Global Search is kind of not good for this. It feels bloated, pulls in web or contact results when you just want an app, and just isn't as snappy or focused as a dedicated app search should be.

To fix this, I built a small utility using the Accessibility API that automatically forces the keyboard to pop up the moment you open the App Drawer. It allows you to instantly start typing and auto-launch apps (or hit Enter to open the top result) without ever needing to tap the search bar or app icons.

I’ve noticed from videos that the OriginOS app drawer UI looks almost identical. I'm currently running the mandatory 14-day Google Play closed test and need 20 testers to help me clear this phase, but I also want to see if this utility works seamlessly on OriginOS!

If you are on a Vivo / iQOO device running Funtouch OS or OriginOS and want to test this out, here is the quick 2-step process to join:

  1. Join the testing group first (Required by Google to authorize your email):https://groups.google.com/g/qlaunch_ct
  2. Opt-in and download the app from the Play Store:https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.catamsp.funfix

Any feedback on whether the auto-keyboard and auto-launch work on your specific OS version would be massive. You can drop feedback here or use the form linked inside the testing page.

Note:

1.No data collected for privacy policy visit https://catamsp.github.io/Qlaunch-pages/index.html
2.Given the users two day free trial for the pro feature. and then they can watch 3 ads to use the pro features for a week
.

Perk for testers: As a thank you for staying opted-in for the 14 days and helping me check the code logic on Funtouch/OriginOS, I will be granting all beta testers free lifetime access to the Pro features once the app officially launches.

Thanks a ton for the help!

OriginOS - app drawer behaviour

Hey OriginOS users , I have two questions regarding app drawer behaviour:

  1. When you swipe up to open the app drawer, does the system keyboard automatically pop up to let you start searching instantly?
  2. While typing an app's name, does it automatically launch the app once the letters match, or allow you to press "Enter" to open the top search result without tapping the icon?

[App] [promo] Rite 2.0.6 — update

Rite is a free, open-source Android app that lets you type a trigger like ?fix in any text field — WhatsApp, Gmail, Twitter, Notes, anywhere — and it transforms your text instantly. No copy-pasting, no app switching.

Just pushed v2.0.6 which adds screen-aware AI. Three new commands:

- ?freply — Rite reads the full conversation visible on your screen and generates a reply. Open a WhatsApp chat, type ?freply, and a contextual reply lands in your text field. Review it and send.

- ?qreply — Same thing but faster. Only grabs the last few messages instead of reading everything. Good for quick back-and-forth.

- ?sreply — Actually takes a screenshot and sends the image to the AI (Android 11+). The AI sees the whole screen — images, stickers, everything — and replies accordingly.

Control the tone: Type your instruction before the trigger.

- Be sarcastic ?freply — reads screen, replies sarcastically

- Be formal ?qreply — grabs recent messages, professional reply

- Be funny ?sreply — AI sees screenshot, generates something funny

- Keep it short ?freply — brief reply, no fluff

- Reply in hindi ?freply — works with any language

Or just type ?freply alone for a natural reply.

Privacy: Screen context is OFF by default. You enable it in Settings. Nothing gets read until you flip that switch. No telemetry, no analytics, API keys encrypted.

Note : The screenshot is only captured the moment you type ?sreply — never automatically, even with Screen Context enabled in Settings.

Home screen WIP

Hey guys, I’ve been working on a custom launcher for a while. It started as a fork of the minimal gesture launcher by jrpie, but I took it to the extreme to push the limits of customization.

Here is a sample of how widgets work in my current setup. Both the app globe and the planet (GIF) are actual widgets.

AND YES the globe is fully interactive. You can tap to launch any app directly from the sphere, and it features a dynamic notification glow.

Apps light up when you have pending notifications, and once you clear them, they transition back to their normal colors.

Custom icon packs also map perfectly onto the globe.

Let me know what you think!
