I have a stupid question about winterizing an outboard

I have a new-to-me boat with a Yamaha 300 HPDI outboard on it. Everywhere I've seen (including the manual) says to winterize it I just need to drain it, keep the motor lowered, and oil the cylinders a bit (on top of changing filters and adding stabilizer, etc.).

However my friend who knows MUCH more about boating than I do insists that I should run it with muffs and a hose running to some antifreeze to get it in the engine and behind the thermostat, because there's no way to drain the water that might still be in the engine and it could freeze and crack something (I live in new england).

So someone give me a sanity check - does anyone actually run antifreeze into their outboard to winterize it from below freezing temps? And how would one even do that without spewing antifreeze ALL over the place?

Moving up from a 13 foot whaler to my first "real boat" and picked up this Wellcraft 232 today as a family fun/fishing boat. Any tips for a very new boater making a big jump in size?

There's something extra whimsical about playing Pikmin in this form factor. I really like the Mangmi Y so far.

I made a case for the Brick Pro that doubles as a stand-alone front cover or a full shell with a little storage compartment - from PartTimeCAD

Playing the android version of Coromon on the RG Rotate and was pleased to find out the game and UI scales really well with the square screen!

Has anyone else had all their windows rolled down seemingly on their own? Happened yesterday to my 2024 Limited during a rainstorm, didn't realize it until the entire interior was soaked.

I know there's a feature where the windows roll down when you double tap and hold the unlock button on the fob - but yesterday after doing some errands I came back to my truck a few hours later and found all the windows as well as the tailgate had opened. I was inside my house with the key fob in my pocket and it was highly unlikely that I somehow accidently double-tapped and held the button while I was doing stuff around the house.

This is the second time I've gone out to my truck and found it like this, the first time was overnight but luckily it wasn't raining then.

Is there any way to turn this feature off that anyone knows of?

Going to need a new set of tires for my '24 limited soon and looking for other's experiences with tires. My priorities are: 1. Maintain fuel economy 2. Decent/good performance in snow/slush 3. Tire longevity.

I don't offroad and commute 50+ miles daily. I don't want to be switching back and forth between winter and summer tires, but I live in New England so I want something that CAN perform well in the snow even though it's an all-season.

I found what I was wanting for my wife's SUV in the Michelin Crossclimate 2 tires, and was wondering if there's something similar that will work well I the Tundra that anyone has experience with.
