“It…is. I’ve never seen him so fidgety” 💫🌄🎶

🌠 Edit by @Brycerielx on TikTok aka u/brycerielx who recently messaged us about sharing their edits 🌌

Let it be out in the open.

“I know you’re feeling it too.”

“It’s driving you nuts…”

“And it gets worse when I’m near.”

“It is…”

At a minimum!! It’s “just” their weapons — but even here, we’re admitting they (which is established in canon) belong to Bryce, the “Chosen One” ✴️

“Well, I do know only the Chosen One can handle the blades…”

And/or…

“Those were your shadows against my light earlier?”

“He’s probably been put out about it ever since.”

“I’d never seen Rhys…irked.”

“It’s been a few centuries since someone got under Cassian’s skin that easily.”

“You’re incurably nosy.”

“Azriel’s wings twitched at the same moment, and he rolled his shoulders, like he was shaking off some phantom touch…”

No one pushes Az’ buttons quite like the redhead his dagger sings for!!

MacKayla Lane: “Rainbow Girl” 🌄🌙✨

Any fans here of Karen Marie Moning’s Fever Series???

I found this interview (that SJM did to promote House of Earth and Blood!!), and she’s talking about Mac — who is insanely Bryce-coded 💗

She tends bar, paints her nails, wears bright colors, and “doesn’t think too deeply, until…” her sister is murdered while studying in Dublin, Ireland.

u/bellire was quick to explain the parallels (for those like me who haven’t finished the series!!), and the evolution from, “party-girl-esque person to badass warrior” is stark…

And SJM’s, “FAVORITE CHARACTER ARC OF ALL TIME.” 💖

By the end of the series, she becomes High Queen of the Fae (both Seelie and Unseelie). It’s revealed (spoilers, sorry!!!) her human parents aren’t really her parents (“my mother [Ember] a vessel for Cthona…”), and she’s from an ancient bloodline and the rightful High Queen of the Fae.

There is a magical book, the “Sinsar Dubh,” which is a good mix of the (sentient!!) Book of Breathings and The Walking Dead.

She ends up living in a magical library

These heroines are a bridge between worlds/species and are repeatedly associated with illumination in worlds consumed by shadow: rainbow girls!!

Mac’s story heavily revolves around hidden truths about herself, fractured identity, ancient power that was dormant and old prophecies/history revolving around her existence…

I repeat, this is SJM’s, “favorite character arc of all time.”

It’s very interesting how many people “can’t get into” Crescent City, blaming the modern setting — but then want/expect Bryce to stay in said setting where, “she can watch reality TV.”

Methinks we’re in for something much bigger, but I found this super interesting!! Highly recommend the series, baddies 😍😍

Full crossover truthers unite ⚔️

Everyone’s excited to (potentially) see ToG characters again!!

Ruhn (potentially) meeting Rhysand!!

Aelin and Manon (potentially) interacting with Nesta and Bryce 🥳

It seems to me like people don’t want Bryce in Prythian solely for shipping reasons…because a confirmed multiverse/continued crossover = Bryceriel potential

Does that mean it will happen in ACOTAR 6?? No!! There are a lot of threads and ground to cover between Spring, Beron, Koschei, Vallahan, Cretea, etc. But I do believe SJM is style gearing up to write a full crossover/multiverse style series (and this is what it sounds like 💖)

There may be anti-crossover people who also just don’t want to read everything — but Dusk was (and likely will be) a multiverse court. I think we’ve always been leading to something much bigger!! 💗🌄

Aelin Galathynius: “Longing…” 💫

An excerpt that’s often overlooked!!

Kingdom of Ash: “Since she’d walked through worlds. She could see them still. Even walking in silence under the trees, the darkness yielding toward grayish light before dawn, she could see each and every one of those worlds she’d broken through. Perhaps she’d never stop seeing them. Perhaps she alone in this world and all others knew what lay beyond the invisible walls separating them. How much life dwelled and thrived…So many worlds. More than she could contemplate. Would her dreams forever be haunted by them? To have glimpsed them, but been unable to explore — would that longing take root?”

“Oakwald’s branches formed a skeletal lattice overhead. Bars of a cage. As her body, and this world, might be.”

Full Maasverse spoilers: The possibilities!!

Just discovered this artwork — obsessed with Aelin and the ((possibility)) of seeing her again!! 🥹

Dusk Aesthetics (Welcome to Bryce’s court!) ⚔️💫💖

“This island is a thin place…”

“Places where the veil between worlds is thin, and magic naturally abounds.”

“There are ley lines across the whole of the universe [Wyrd!]. And the planets—like Midgard, like Hel, like the home world of the Fae—atop those lines are joined by time and space and the Void itself. It thins the veils separating us.”

“The mists parted for her—as if they had been waiting…”

“I’m a fancy world-walker who can do this shit innately.”

“This place, this Prison and the court it had once been, was Bryce’s inheritance. Hers to command…”

“Tendrils of night-blooming purple flowers unfurled around her in answer, despite the daylight. Had it always been leading toward this?”

What are we wearing?! 🌄✨✨

“Eight…a holy number” - (Tower of Dawn) ✴️

“In the Epic of Gilgamesh, the guardians of Mount Mashu are the scorpion-men, hybrid creatures tasked with protecting the cosmic gates that separate the earthly realm from the divine and underworldly domains.”

Bryce had to pass the onyx beasts who were guarding the entrance to the tunnels, and then she had to pass the “bat-lizard hybrids” in the tunnels (!!).

“Cruder, more leathery. Like some sort of primordial bat-lizard hybrid.”

As u/bellire has (brilliantly!) pointed out: Mount Mashu is said to reach all the way into the heavens and into the underworld. The Dusk Court was depicted in the cave carvings as stretching into the heavens and deep into the underworld.

The tunnels of the mountain are the pathway that the sun god Shamash takes daily (Just like Solas!).

In ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian mythology, the sun god is also considered a god of the underworld (they believed he made a daily trip to the underworld, at night time). He (Azriel??) had to be protected from the forces of darkness (“The Prison sentries know me—what I am”) that wanted to consume him — Cthona (comparing SJM’s Solas myth!) is his “anchor” through the long night.

“Mashu” derives from the Akkadian word for “twins” (twin peaks!! 🌄), symbolizing the boundary between the mortal world and divine realms, tied to solar cycles of life, death, and rebirth. (The CEDAR FOREST is the sacred, divine realm of the gods in the Epic of Gilgamesh)

“The Mesopotamian ‘twin peaks’ known as Mashu appear to be the same symbol used by the Egyptians. The Egyptian hieroglyphic sign for ‘mountain’ (djew) and for ‘horizon’ (akhet) — ‘The mountain of light.’”

Bryce is Dusk, “the liminal space” or bridge between light and dark, human and Fae, earthly and divine (SJM used the Egyptian and Mesopotamian mythology about the sun and gave it to Bryce and Theia!!).

“But more than that, she told me many times that she and her heirs were the only ones worthy of tending this island.” (“Guardians stand at the gate of Mashu, reinforcing its status as an impenetrable frontier in Mesopotamian cosmology, accessible only to those of semi-divine nature…”)

“When the sun set and twilight came, he passed through the akhet, the horizon, in the west, and traveled to the underworld…”

“Such light and darkness—the power lay in the meeting of the two of them. She understood it now, how the darkness shaped the light.”

(How interesting is this!! Just for fun!! 🌟)

Light-bringer 🌙✨💫

“Celaena went on, a crown of fire wreathing her head.”

“Starlight flickered around [Bryce’s] head in a shadow of that crown of stars.”

“Her gaze had again lifted to the islands and glimmering sea. That regal expression spread over her face, and he knew he was getting a glimpse of the leader she’d become.”

“Might have felt something like a crown settle upon her head. Guiding her into the dark.”

“A cool male voice spoke above her, behind her, in a language she did not recognize…Bryce lifted her hands and reached for her power. Only splintered shards remained. The male voice demanded something in that strange language…He hissed, and then a strong hand clamped on her shoulder, hauling her up and twisting her to face him…But the male face that stared through the mists, grave and lethal…it was beautiful, despite the fact that his hazel eyes and held no mercy…”

“‘The power of the Gates—the power given over by every soul who has ever touched itevery soul who has handed over a drop of their magic.’ He tried and failed to calculate just how many people, over how many centuries, had touched the Gates in the city. Had handed over a drop of their power…”

“People of every House. Every race. Millions and millions of drops of power fueled this solo Drop.”

Bryce is Earth and Blood, Sky and Breath, Flame and Shadow and Many Waters 🌊

“She was sea and sky and stone and blood and wings and earth and stars and darkness and light and bone and flame—“

“Her power shifted, dancing between forms and gifts. She thrust upward with a push of a mighty tail. Twisted and rose with a sweep of vast wings. She was all things—and yet herself.”

Happy MAY!!! 💖✴️💖

This villain monologue now plays in my head (thank you u/bellire 🤣🤣💀) when I see nonsense in the fandom about these series being strictly separate 💀
