Sometimes thrifting is sad

When I see whole collections or books with inscriptions I wonder about the people who loved them

Thrifting is in the genes

My 10 yr old granddaughter and I thrifted separately this week, and both bought Italian charm bracelets. We were so surprised to see each othet wearing one! She did better than me though, hers was $15, I paid $20. Mine is Florida charms, one of her charms says Granddaughter🩷

Passed and regretted

Anyone else pass on something, can't stop thinking about it, then realize what a great deal you missed? Saw 2 little patriotic angels in Goodwill last summer for $5 each. Didn't realize how patriotic this year would be with it being the semiquincentennial. I remembered the angels and looked for them on ebay WOW found this one $56.99 plus shipping! Drat, hate when that happens!

Returning books

Hi all, there's been a few posts lately about returning books when you're done reading them. Is there a way to return from Kindle or Libby app? It seems I can only return from my laptop. I always mean to, but usually let them sit until they expire which I realize is bad etiquette. Am I missing something? Thanks!

3 yr old intact male

Hi all, just reaching out to the community for advice or experiences. Wolfe turned 3 in Jan. He's the 2nd male we've had. We lost our 1st boy, age 6, to mass on prostate. We had him neutered at 2.5 yrs. He developed an infection after the surgery which led to health complications. We hoped to keep Wolfe intact, after lots of research, talking to breeders and our vet. We do not plan to breed him! The last few months we've had a couple of incidents which today the vet called red flags. He advised us to neuter. Said it's not an emergency but do it within the year. The incidents were 2 instances of peeing in the house, and this week he seemed to struggle peeing. Instead of a good flow as usual, he seemed to be pumping out squirts. He is now peeing normally. I understand our community is dog owners, enthusiasts like us, not vets. Just looking for feedback, thoughts and opinions on neutering, either for or against. Love seeing all your dogs, picture of Wolfe at the vet today to pay the tax!

Quote to live by!

The release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 reminded me that I never read the book, so I got it from the library. Opening page quote seems perfect for us "Beware of all enterprises that require new clothes"~Henry David Thoreau, 1854. Henry would have loved this sub!

Hapy Birthday to me I guess

DIL got me the Aldi Birthday Party Pack and we can't stop laughing at the HAPY banner! I suggested this is how happy is spelled in German or maybe it's just Aldi-speak🤣

He had a traumatic morning being brushed and now it's raining and he's stuck inside. It's a hard knock life for Wolfe

Unexpected guests for dinner last night, coleslaw would round out the meal. Ran to Publix across the street $4.25 for this small container! Aldi this mornings shopping trip $3.29. I love Aldi slaw, even better than my homemade! Shocked at the amount of people I know who shop Publix (insert local quality grocery store chain)
