This might seem kind of random or weird, but I see a few songs on gsil that I feel are “sister songs”; they’re a similar style and theme, or like 2 sides of the same coin. Not sure how to explain it. Anyway, here are some of my pairings:

When did you KNOW you were a pretty serious fan? Which song sparked that for you?

I’m a new fan, so brat was my intro to Charli (I knew “I love it” and “boom clap” but wasn’t really into them at the time).

I was into brat immediately, but when I got to Sympathy is a Knife, I was like “oooh okay, she’s GOOD good!” I had to then, of course, listen to everything!!

Which song was it for you?

Whenever I listen to 2007 I, of course, think about where/who I was then!

It was my senior year of high school/first year of college. Incredibly complicated time for me that changed a lot about my life. Oddly, now I look back fondly at that time now as if it were more simple than that.

I was 18, angsty as hell, and reading catcher in the rye while listening to a lot of Bob Dylan lmao. I was also in a smaller midwestern town.

Why do you think it’s at the end of Card Declined? I love that it’s on there, but it felt a bit randomish, and I was wondering what people thought about why it was added to that song in particular. I was thinking about its intention and purpose, and I could see it at the end of Persona as like a juxtaposition of feeling about the subject of the song. Thoughts?
