Admin hiring?

Hi there.

I currently work in WA state doing admin for the state fire marshal running a basic firefighter training program and facilitating IFSAC testing. I’m a Sacramento native and I may be moving back to Sacramento for personal reasons. I know CalFire is a much larger organization than ours is up here. Do roles like this exist at CalFire? Or what might be something similar for this org?

I’d appreciate any advice as this move came on suddenly and figuring out my next steps would take some weight off my shoulders. Thanks for any advice.

Recommendations for Family Law with military experience?

My husband has asked for a divorce after 16yrs and 2kids. He has been active duty the entire time and I’d like to at least have a consult with a local attorney to talk about things like custody and financials. He plans to take a job across the country and the kids stay with me.

Things are amicable and he says he would like to remain that way. I would too but I would also like to ensure I’m not taken advantage of. I work locally and hope to remain in the area after the split. I’m sure lots of attorneys see military splits being so close to the base, but I know the length of our marriage and his service changes things so I thought I’d ask. Thank you for any recommendations!

Advice for Newly Single Parent in the Area?

My spouse of 16yrs has asked me for a divorce. I am not originally from WA but currently am a state employee, albeit in a somewhat entry level role.

Just looking for information on resources to get into housing. According to my soon to be ex he won’t leave me high and dry because we have two kids but I’d like to be able to rely on myself as much as I can. He will eventually be moved to the East Coast ,likely by early next year. I’m working on hopefully landing a higher paying role with the state in the mean time. We currently live in DuPont/Steilacoom area but I don’t think I could afford it up here on my own. I would really like to stay in this area as my daughter loves her school and my toddler has a daycare here. Im aware of childcare assistance but is there such a thing as rental assistance?

Things are amicable so not terribly urgent but I would rather start figuring things out sooner than later.

Open to homes or apartments, probably apartments unless I find a miracle landlord. I don’t need advice on the divorce, thank you for any help!

This bottle is old, very possibly from the first run of Owala. I’ve been a user since early early pandemic when I used to be an essential worker and found them because of the covered straw cap. Decluttering my kitchen and found this shoved in the back of the cabinet. It looks almost brand new.
