My first bloom of my maarn dahlia bloomed the day I was leaving for 2 weeks so I cut it to bring with me and I’m so glad I did!

The picture on the left was taken Saturday afternoon and the picture on the right was taken just now, Tuesday morning.

The variety is “maarn”

for everyone who voted #2, you were correct! night silence bloomed today! She’s a beauty! A bit more yellow irl but still a beaut. 😌😌😌

I have 6 different varieties planted, all in different stages of growth, but 2 are trying to be the first bloom 😂 who do we think it’s going to be, picture 1 is Mr Optimist and picture 2 is Night Silence (also night silence is giving demogorgon vibes 😂

I’m in zone 5, Ontario, and I’ve never come across stink bugs before, are they harmful for the dahlias? How do I kill them? Thank you!

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has any DIY baffle ideas but to put around a tree? My bird feeder currently can only go where it is (I’ve attached a picture), and recently I’ve been getting mice that I think live in my neighbours garden. People suggested a baffle or pole, and I can’t install a pole right now but I was hoping maybe for some DIY ideas I could try to install on the tree! They always jump down off the feeder so I think a baffle would help!

I’ve heard people have had issues with the side camera getting condensed and I’m thinking mine is having that problem too 😭😭😭

This little dude has been coming the past few nights and I’m wondering if the only way to actually deter him is to empty my feeder and wipe it off and leave it empty for a while? If so how long?

Hi! I’m just learning about gardening and different times for different flowers etc, and I think I might’ve planted my ranunculus too late? I’m in zone 5 and they haven’t died and gone yellow or brown yet but I also haven’t had any blooms 🥲 just looking for some advice

I’ve already cut that part of the vine off and put the surviving leaves with root buds in water but I’m just curious what may have happened to my plant? I noticed the stem of a leaf was dark so I went to take it off and then noticed the vine around it was too.
I checked the rest of the plant and it’s okay but I’m just curious 🤷🏼‍♀️
