During one of my trips, I ended up going to Los Angeles for the Goth-o-Ween music festival in Maywood, CA. That weekend I met up with some friends who invited me to this club I had never been to before. It was a mix of goth and industrial music, very packed and the setting was pretty cool! That night we ended up also bar hopping around and every time we ended up at one of those piano karaoke joints, the musician would play the cure lol. LA is a good time for darklings highly recommend!

This is probably one of the more popular goth nights in Atlanta. This particular night I invited some coworkers, friends and my sister to join me for shenanigans (most of the people you see in this clip is my group) and we got there pretty early to take over the dance floor. Some of them had never listened to goth or adjacent music before and they loved it as you can see lol one of those unforgettable memories where goth music transcends. Probably one of the longest running goth nights in Atlanta, this goth night was always a great time to meet new darklings and catch up with old friends. This particular night I invited a bunch of coworkers to dance with me and the spooks, some of the had already came out before and others it was their first time. I was always good at getting my friends and coworkers to experience the scene lol. Many enjoyed it very much! This night I ran into a very good friend from high school hasn’t seen in almost 20 years. Great sets by the DJs had us flooding the dance floor over and over. If you’re ever in Atlanta, this is a club place to visit.

Took a birthday trip to Salem a few years ago in the middle of winter to get witchy and dance with the ghouls. It was a great time the moment I landed in Boston, I was greeted by old cemeteries and gloomy weather. Made my way to Salem for a goth night in an arcade bar that was really fun! That night I stepped out for air after dancing and it started snowing intensely. Made some new friends and I hope one day I’ll be able to go back again. Salem forever 🖤🪩

Took a trip with my sister to Nashville, a city we both love to visit often, and ended up with an interesting story. After visiting the grave of Johnny Cash we went to our airbnb to get ready for the goth night when we heard the tornado alarms blaring. The host told us to seek shelter in her basement where she talked to us about her time living in LA and bumping shoulders with the Goth scene. Once the tornado passed us by a mile, we drove to the East Room and turns out it was DJ Ichabod’s birthday party. Danced all night and will never forget almost risking our lives to a tornado for this night lol worth it though.

Took a trip to Charlotte to visit my cousins a few years ago which ended in all of us going out to a local goth night that was happening around the corner. It was a great time! Loved the vibe of the club, darklings dancing and a skull disco ball. Great DJs too.

On a weekend trip with some friends we went to one of the most haunted and oldest cities in the US to experience their Never Not Goth night. It was a hot, sweaty but fun night with the local bats! Will never forget and hope to go back again some day.

Growing up I think I was always meant to be a dj of sorts lol I used to burn so many cd mixes for people, spent so much time looking for music, putting it into a playlist that tells a story and sharing it with others in hopes they will appreciate music as much as I do and the intention behind each song and its place on a playlist. Then I discovered that’s basically what DJs do so I started mixing and spinning sets at clubs to make people dance. It’s also a great hobby for my neurospicy brain I wonder if others in our tribe enjoy it too? Cheers yall

One of the most popular batcaves in Mexico City, El Real Under is a great club that not only carters to the goth music lovers with great genre nights, they also focus on building community through workshops for creative expression, activism and any kind of artistic scene that collaborates with the goth scene. This is the club where I DJ too.

Back when I lived in Georgia, one of my favorite tribes was the Athens scene. Could catch a Goth Night at the Cine in the middle of Athens college town. Great people, great DJs and a tight knit community. Long live the Athens scene.
