My post yesterday about getting rejected from jobs got deleted for not having enough food in the picture lol bc of course it did.

Tldr I have a master's degree in engineering and I've been unsuccessfully applying to jobs for 5 years now.

I found out this morning that the PhD scholarship application that I submitted last month has now also been rejected so I won't be able to do a PhD.

It's like I'm smart but not smart enough, I'm friendly but not in the right way, I network but "there's nothing available at this time".

Having people affirm to me over and over again that there's nothing special or exceptional about me, I'm just good. A good applicant, a good student, a good worker but not good enough.

I'm just tired and depressed, I moved overseas for school and feel distant from all my friends and family. I feel like I've just made mistake after mistake with my life and haven't seen any progress. I don't know what else to do.
