The story behind Sadness
Okay, so this might be something that's already talked about/known with Enigma fans, as it's been shown in the official video for Sadness (Part 1), but i just found this out recently and I think it's pretty cool.
The song is based on The Marquis de Sade, and the books he'd written on sadism, control and dominance, and I just found out that's where we get the word 'sadism' from.
Kinda hope they make a sister song about Leopold von Sacher-Masoch (masochism)
Accidentally stumbled into the basement a while ago, and I've been mostly a silent observer since...
What's lore I need to know?
Love the names aiden, Jayden, and brayden... Would Mayden be a good name for a girl.
It just sounds so feminine, I was originally thinking of May, but Mayden just seems like it's meant for a young woman

Got him from starbucks back in October (he actually shares his birthday with my mum 💙) and i LOVE him soooo much, he's sprayed with my fave comfort fragrance so that just adds to him being perfect to have on my bed at night.
Worlds colliding
Just came across a reel by etymologynerd that Hozier liked (which was a welcome surprise), it was also liked by Astrid Lundberg (OddPride), who's another creator i enjoy watching!
What's a book/reading experience that you "protect"?
I just realised mine a while ago, it's The Deal by Elle Kennedy. I read it a little under a year ago for the first time and i knew then that it was a rare find and did try to be a bit protective of the view I had, but I didn't realise how deep the whole thing went.
Here's some context: about a year ago I got a copy of The Deal by Elle Kennedy. It was my first time reading a book like that (aka smut), and it was partially a way of exploring more of that part of me.(I was raised with purity culture beliefs and started exploring my more romantic side only a while before I read the book, so this was a big step).
With the new Off Campus series (adapted from the Elle Kennedy book series) being so famous, I realise just how much this book actually matters to me. It's beautifully written for the most part, and I imagined all parts in so much detail, that i just can't even listen to people mention the name of the series or even knowing the cast; I just want my imagination of the whole thing to remain intact and untainted
This shocked me for a few days, because I've never been so weirdly possessive about a book before (i suppose I do this a bit when my fave artist/songs, but again, it's fueled by how much the music means to me, and also it's just the one artist). Death Comes As The End (Agatha Christie) is also one of my favourite books but I would honestly love to see a movie or show inspired by the novel (as long as they've put in the work to make it as captivating as the book), but I don't think I'll ever look up the off campus series because I don't want to change the experience I had reading it for the first time.
...so yeah, what's a book experience that you protect at all costs?
If you love Hozier & poetry/literature, this might be for you

I love that hozier's liked this as well
Hey there, I'm really interested in toxicology and would like to take a post grad toxinology course.
I'm currently choosing my undergrad courses and I wonder how good each one would be keeping in mind the toxinology course I want to get into later.
If there's anyone here that's down to answer some questions about this in their DMs, it would be really helpful.
Thanks so much.
