They rolled out an update that broke the auto shutdown on no input feature.
they update the TVs constantly to roll out more in-your-face advertisements, but can’t roll out an update to fix the features they break. This is a D series I’ve had since 2021. This has worked since day 1 of having the TV, then boom they screw up the software and your stuck with a product that does not function the way it did when you purchased it.

You may have seen my other post about adds_now_appearing_when_switching_inputs. Well I have now realized this does not only occur when switching inputs, but happens when turning my TV on.

Vizios response was

"You may be getting the ad to merge your account. The TVs did require a Vizio account to use the Smart features of the TV, but we are merging those accounts to Walmart. You will want to go into the Vizio app or Vizio.com to Account and merge your account. Then this ad will not come up anymore."

I dont want any sort of ad when turning my tv on. I want to turn my TV on. Not be harassed by ads.

For everyones awareness, all your recommended solutions dont work, because this ad is presented to you when performing the most BASIC function a TV can possibly do; power on. Possibly disconnecting it from the internet may solve it, but I will spend my money elsewhere and make sure to never purchase a vizio again, if I cant even turn my TV on, leaving it on the same input, without being harassed by advertismeents.

I hope that anyone considering a vizio is made aware of this horrible practice and does not consider purchasing a TV that gets highjacked the moment you power it on.

This is absolutely dystopian in the most diabolical way. Now when switching inputs (ie. hdmi1->hdmi2 or hulu -> hdmi2) an ad now appears. Ive caught myself several times switching inputs then thinking I must have accidentally changed to the home app, only to realize im being obnoxiously presented an ad while going to my HDMI inputs.

I promise I will never buy anything advertised when using a basic function on a home device. but i WILL never buy from a brand who does something so aggregious.

Cant wait till car manufacturors start showing us adds when we start them, put our cars in park, or the surveilance system *ahem* i mean driver assist cameras detect were waiting in a drive thru. Until then, thanks vizio for the awesome feature!

Made purchases through my phone, my laptop, through paypal, through apple pay, even added my card directly. No matter what ebay keeps going to, "Continue through paypal to pay or use a different payment method" despite them CHARGING my card.

My card is not declining it, the payment goes to pending, but ebay literally will not finish the purchase.

Ive had both this ebay and this paypal account for 10+ years. This suddenly stopped working last week after bidding on several auctions in one night. I literally had like 5+ auctions go through, then it has just not worked since then.

What is going on ebay....
