Im a small artist and started selling items you might buy at anime cons on etsy. I just started a few months ago and just hit 30 orders (pretty good for averaging 100 followers on any platform).
My main question is: Are my profit margins good and should I keep the price the same or increase it?
Breakdown: Keychain selling for 12 usd
Total earning: 6.43 usd per keychain
Is this a good amount to make? I see some people selling their keychains for upwards of 16 but I feel like thats TOO pricey just for a keychain. I want my stuff to be affordable and since my customers pay shipping they usually end up with a total of 18-19 usd. Which baffles and honors me! (Even had like 4 orders paying 20 just international shipping)
also i didnt account for work hours cuz I feel like after I finish the art, theres just not enough work put into shipping items that validates me "paying" myself for that work. I also ship from home since I have a shipping label printer so I dont have to account for travel or gas.
Is there an agreed upon percentage that you should earn from a sale? Rn im making about about 53% in profits.
currently i have someone I buy merch from on insta but I want access to the official listing of the pop-up collabs. Id also like and try buying them on my own rather than using a proxy. I think people usually pre-order these items for events?
Currently the events im interested in are the Dccotto TADC maid pop-up and the TADC China Campus Collab
researching more before i posted and I DID find the link to the DCCotto collab on animate cafes and it looks like orders wont start till next month if im reading this correctly?? but would buying it work? i think these kind of events dont ship outside the country and you need to use a proxy or something??

Ive been shopping around and usually use wooacry for my buttons and keychains. The shipping adds a big chunk to the price, usually between 30-60 but as soon as i add a standee into the mix shipping can shoot up to 90 usd which is crazy! tried messaging them multiple times (cuz their shipping prices always tend to be AT LEAST 10 more than what they estimate) and they were no help. tried asking if we could ship differently, maybe by weight or something but i guess thats not possible.
So I want to find somewhere else that has decently priced acrylic standees with shipping that wont cost just as much as the order itself. Im looking to buy in bulk with at least 10 units of each design. Does anyone know of an American manufacturer? id imagine shipping would be better for them.
P.S please dont recommend a company with bad reviews or cheap looking products.
I'm not looking for plain solid colors, I like ones that have fun patterns or styles and I'd like a range of colors from dark to bright.
I'd also like the same level of quality, which would be above average in my opinion.
Unfortunately lucy and lak usually only sells designs once (I'm bummed I missed a lot of cool designs) and their rumi fit isn't paid much attention. I always had to wait for sales too cuz they were pretty pricey at 80 per pair
ALSO the full length stretch band is a must! I'm autistic and have trouble with anything that puts pressure on my stomach. They only pants I've found comfortable enough are these and lucy and yaks cole fit (a super wide leg style) which ALSO doesn't get much love
I've seen it works as on firmware 20.5.0 but if Im remembering right, going into sysmmc will FORCE you to update firmware and the game to the latest verson if you're connected to the internet before it will even let you launch the game.
So how do I use online features without going above firmware 20.5.0? Do I use sysmmc cfw and be VERY careful to only launch legit games? Or will the game still ask for updated firmware before launching??
Alternatively if there is a way to download tomodachi fan creations online and then transfer them to my switch somehow, that'll work too and I just won't buy the game.
I want to start making studs but I hate the regular type of earrings and have been in LOVE with this style for their amazing comfort! However I can't find anywhere that sells a base in bulk. I've only seen people selling the back part and not the front. Image as an example! Obviously I want surgical steel or something just as sturdy and hypoallergenic.
