Reminder to research brands

It happened to me. I ordered this skirt for a Madonna-themed dance party and it turns out it’s from a brand that caters to tweens. I’m a 46 year old woman who does not fit into a tween large.

Of course, I did not realize this until it arrived and it looked suspiciously small when I pulled it out of the box.

I am returning it, and I’m sure it will end up categorized as a woman’s large again. So, this is your reminder to research an unknown brand before you buy!

Rise measurements?

I really want to try buying jeans on ThredUp, but I’m hesitant because I’m not confident in their rise measurements. I’m very picky about the rise of my pants (I have like no torso so I need a 9.5” or lower rise). What are your experiences on the accuracy of the measurements?

Side note: I’m annoyed they don’t have rise and inseam measurements on shorts! What is up with that??

43 Item Standard Kit Sales Report

Thought it would be good to share my results from sending in 43 items using a Standard kit (with half off processing fees)

They accepted 28 items. 14 sold and 14 listings expired.

I made a total of $45.92 (not including the $1.21 that I’ll make on a pending item).

My husband u/notapreppie says he is too “old man yells at cloud” to join this subreddit. I said the fact that he said that is exactly why he should join. Please post your favorite relevant quotation to show him why we are his people (he’s 47, btw).

I sent in three Free People tops. They accepted one but rejected the other two. I have no idea why. They don’t have different wear patterns or anything. In fact, I’d even say the one they did accept was in slight more worn condition than the others. I think one of the reasons people feet ripped off when they send in items is because of the inconsistencies and the lack of information about why something wasn’t accepted.
