Ryan Lopez

Does anyone else feel bad that they just don’t really like Ryan? When he first showed up I thought he would bring in a new perspective from a different type of enthusiast, but he’s just so bland. I feel like he is overcompensating for people assuming he’s younger, he almost has the pretentious level of Kennan, but without the same passion behind it. Yes Kennan has some rough takes, but you can’t deny that the man is passionate, Ryan just doesn’t quite have the same level of enthusiasm

What guitar was Phoebe Bridgers playing on Jimmy Fallon?

I feel like I’m going crazy, it looks smaller than a J-45, but bigger than the Waterloo WL-14 she also plays

My very budget, very not apartment friendly setup

Hisense Roku TV, Audio Technica AT-LP60X, Yamaha RX-V477, 2 JBL JRX112M, and cheap Monoprice down-firing 10” sub

Formerly had a soundbar in here, was tired of my living room sound being destroyed by the Edifier RT1700 that are in my bedroom.

The JBL’s were free (stage monitors a church was getting rid of), receiver and sub both from marketplace, under $200 in both of them

Need help identifying some orange tabs I got from my dad

These jeans had been relegated to being “working on the car” jeans, and have no back tag or anything other than what I pictured. All I know is the back of the button says (barely) 549, and they are one of the most comfortable pairs of jeans I’ve ever worn in my life.

EDIT: For context, my dad is in his mid 50s, the jeans also have a Talon zipper

Working at NOAA?

I’ve been looking at a career transition, currently with DOE in a pretty stable field. Is working at NOAA still scary and unstable, or is it something I should look into? Before you know what, NOAA was kind of a dream agency for me

Who are some “unskilled” musicians that make great music?

Kind of the opposite of the question from earlier today
I’d say the B-52’s, especially on the early stuff like Rock Lobster. No one was really a “master” of their instrument, but they just made really good and creative music.
