Is all summer gonna be so hot and miserable?!

Literally unbearable heat when you don’t have a decent ac, can’t travel and no access to pools. Is it really gonna be like this for 90ish more days? I don’t know how my POTS is gonna handle this summer. Ice on face and neck only goes so far lol.

Suffering in heat

I can't take it and I need advice bad. I live in a high rise near the top and we don't have real ac, except for a dinky old portable one with a window tube. I've been under a ceiling fan/other fans for days now to try and counter the heat... and I just feel so miserable. my tachycardia isn't terrible but I feel like I'm burning from inside out. my skin is flushed and even though I feel the cold air on me, my insides are just. they feel so hot, and are hot to the touch. I noticed that all week haven't really been sweating at all...I don't know if that's dangerous or not and it's making me spiral like crazy thinking I have reduced sweat and potential heatstroke territory. despite keeping hydrated, putting water on my face and fans I'm just suffering and terrified I'm going to have to hospital. what can I do? my temperature went up to 38.2 and that's WHILE I'm under the fan... ugh and I'm also on propranolol which probably doesn't help.

desperate for solutions.

Low Income Renting in the city?

Primarily on yonge street due to having a disability/wanting to be close to the subway. Is it even possible to find anywhere to rent for under 2k a month now? The apartment my mother and I have lived in for 10+ years is only 1.7k for a 1b+den but the quality of life is abhorrent. There's always dust everywhere and the water is horrible even with a brita filter/the landlords refuse to actually do maintenance. Is finding another 1bed+den just a dream now? Disability income doesn't allow us to live anywhere more expensive, and I've never dealt with the housing market before.

Boba addiction!!

i KNOW it sounds silly, but I am completely obsessed with boba. it's a part of my DAILY routine now, and since I'm disabled I literally cannot walk to get it. I have to get it delivered, which is extra bad bc i'm on benefits and it's wasting money... I'm overweight and it's really starting to get to me, but I have no idea how to fix it. the 'swap it out for plain tea' or 'chew gum' don't really satisfy the same compulsions. the taste doesn't even MATTER anymore, it's just sheer routine now... I also know I have a sugar addiction, but can't bear the thought of having nothing sweet. can anyone offer tips/alternatives?

Edit: I’ve tried making my own boba at home. It’s a good idea, but I ultimately want to cut back on it (not cold turkey). if anyone has any suggestions regarding alternative options to eat/drink that satisfy the same urge, I’d greatly appreciate that!

Heart palpitation episodes

Anyone ever get episodes of great palpitations where it feels like your heart skips for DAYS? It's been a week of this...I'm terrified cuz when it's bad it feels like it'll skip literally every three or four beats, and it makes me cough to relieve it. I can see them on my oximeter so I know it's not just a made up sensation... I'm assuming it's to do with my POTS but I can't help but think the worse.

I've had an EKG and my doctor said I had a few pacs and one pvc but that my palpitations are benign... But you know how anxiety is. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Have you found anything that helps? (Aside from breathing exercises or cold water which haven't helped much lol)

Looking for affordable clothing.

Preferably in 3x or 4x. I'm not in a position where I can spend $30-50 on a single shirt, but I am sick of only having one pair of clothing which consists of a tshirt, sweater and plain pants. I've looked at all sorts of plus size shops online and they're just really not in the styles I like. I enjoy alternative (but not overly feminine) clothing, mostly in black or pink. (bonus if leopard)... and not dresses.

at this point I'm considering just buying from shein which is awful but I literally can't afford to buy anything else I can find. the thrift shops here are garbage and there's no walmarts near me/target doesn't exist in my country (I'm in Toronto, canada!)

Anyone else just get REALLY short of breath lately? Like it's driving me crazy. I yawn and my head rushes and I get short of breath. I chew a little and I get short of breath. I lay, short of breath. I absolutely hate wondering if it's my POTS or if my lungs/heart is just... fucking up.

Hi! I'm just curious if anyone has any positive experience w/ places in Toronto for mental health assessments. It's not a crisis or anything, but I am concerned about personality disorder related issues and I'd like to go somewhere that is both actually beneficial, and isn't super expensive. CAMH has not helped in the past, but I know not much else is covered by OHIP. I have insurance but not a great plan. Any recommendations?

edit: I was checking out Cohen Clinic and if anyone has had experience w them, please let me know!
