Summer Hot Dog work party

I have about 3 weeks until I'm hosting a work party that's celebrating the team with a hot dog party. I'm thinking beach theme in typical primary colours.

I want to do a bunch of diy decorations but keep running into Google and Pinterest roadblocks that are American July 4th themed.

I need help with ideas to decorate a boardroom, where we will be eating the food.

Links, photos or descriptions would be appreciated.

Following up after diagnosis with my Rheumatologist

I don't know what kind of post this is going to be, bare with me.

I have been seeing a Rheumatologist since late 2019 where I was seen by his dismissive student doctor. Based on student gained information passed to the specialist, I was given a diagnosis and treatment for a form of arthritis.

After 2 years of treatment that didn't work, an MRI was done. A new diagnosis, new treatment for a year. Nothing again. So a third diagnosis, third medication. Second opinion, who also had a student doctor take my info, agreed with the current diagnosis and medication. I asked my GP for a new referral to a new Rheumatologist but since I have one no one would take me on; one even replying with respect to my first specialist. I'm stuck with him.

I started tracking ALL my issues, no matter how insignificant they seemed.

I saw my Rheumatologist again with my written list. He tried to say these were new symptoms. I said NO this is the first time you're listening. He took me to another assessment room, poked/prodded and touched various areas on my body. I reacted greatly in response. He had my circle areas on a body chart, answer an informal questionnaire and after those 3 things said, "you have 12/13 markings for Fibromyalgia". That's what I've been saying for years!

He sent me for blood work, follow up phone call with a recommendation for my GP to prescribe medication for Fibromyalgia. I have been on Cymbalta for about 2 years, with monthly check in with my GP, for other medical reasons. My GP wanted me to follow up with the Rheumatologist around Easter to see if the Rheumatologist wants/needs to see me.

I don't want to see him so I haven't followed up to make that call. I physically hate my Rheumatologist.

So now that you've read this far, thank you. I think I'm looking for advice, IF you see a Rheumatologist regularly what do they DO for you. Is there any benefit to seeing the specialist? Never once has he given suggestions on therapy or any additional treatment help besides medication and follow up questions.

I'm in Canada, none of this costs anything (visits or prescriptions).

Growing outside question

Hello, I've never understood growing and zones so I'm coming to the masses for opinions.

I live on Vancouver Island, central east coast. My house faces north. I'm wondering if I can put my current indoor plant outside or plant new ones outside year round.

Tattoo Artist suggestions

I currently have 3 tattoos and have my 4th planned; just need artist interpretation of it done.

My tattoos have been done by different artists, 2 different shops (one now closed). I liked the one that's still doing work but not 109% so I'm asking for suggestions.

I have line work (black and shading) on my inner forearms and want the 4th to balance them out (2 on each). They are about 2.5" in diameter each. Same for my next.

My 5th will also be lines, but thinner lines and floral representation of birth flowers going up my outer forearm (as a 3 flower bouquet).

Who have you used and would use again? I'm happy to answer questions if I haven't provided enough info.

London to Gleneagles

Hello, I'm hoping for the locals to help.

I'm planning a trip in August to the UK. Currently I'm having difficulty booking a train from London (any station, prefer Kings Cross though) to Creiff or Gleneagles on August 9.

I'm able to see details before and after that date but nothing on LNER (my preference). I think I found an option mid afternoon (arriving ~8pm).

Is there maintenance that isn't posted?

Where there's green...

My MIL has the greenest of green thumbs and thought this was dead. I have such a hard time keeping plants alive.

I'm proud of this milestone.

Walking shoes

I've been a Birkenstock wearer for years, daily. Recently I've shifted to a zero drop box toe shoe. I've been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and also have palm and sole psoriasis.

I have a 3 week vacation coming soon which will be spent walking around old cities, museums and I'm guessing multiple thousands of steps a day. Not an all inclusive beach vacation :)

What are your suggestions for the most supportive and comfortable shoes?

How to prine?

I moved to a brand new build 3 years ago. These were planted to be a row/hedge along the sidewalk of my property. I want to prune the bushes to form a tall hedge but it insists on growing up and out in all directions.

Any suggestions on when to trim back and how to make it follow the shape I want?

Green onions

We brought a bundle of green onions and put them in water, they grew!

The next week we bought another bunch, in water they go, they grew - we forgot we had the first bunch so double your fun!

This week I just received a fruit/veg delivery which has TWO bunches of green onions.

The first bunch is still growing strong with roots, second bunch is growing tall, and 2 more large bunches.

What to make with, literally, a bunch of green onions?
