FreeBuds 5 Pro vs. WF-1000XM6 - ANC & Transparency

Got problem with XM6, which I've described in my post few months ago:

WF-1000XM6 and hissing in transparency mode when hearing voices

Did you notice in transparency mode when hearing voices (especially kids) or other higher frequency sounds (like beeping from electronic devices) you hear also hissing? It is mixed with voice/beep and significantly making sound lower quality.

And wondering if Huawei can compete in ANC especially in Transparency. Do you have checked both and could type few words?

Yet another Suoerblast 2 size advice

Got problem with SB2 size.

Got wider feet, length is 27,8 cm (right) and 27,8 cm (left) and:

Novablast - 29 cm

Nimbus 25 - 29 cm

Currently checking SB2 aaaaaand:

29 cm seems to be ok, but right foot is bit snug fit

29,5 is better in width but I'm thinking that it is bit too long.

What is your opinion?

A few words about me:

  • about 190 cm tall
  • about 115 kg
  • running more consistently for over 3 years
  • current max times: 5 km in about 26 min, 10 km in about 57 min
  • preparing for a half marathon; running around 30 km per week, with a longer run on weekends (15–17 km)
  • rather wide feet
  • a tendency to develop calluses at the front of the arch, around the ball of the feet (perhaps the formation of calluses in that area is related to the width of my foot. Because of that, I choose larger sizes, and the arch shaping in the midsole ends up extending too far forward. That’s my hypothesis.)

Currently, I use Puma Magmax as my max‑cushion (about 270 km already so plenty of life remaining) shoes and Nimbus 25 (29 cm), which are nearing the end of their life.

I’m looking for shoes to replace my worn‑out Novablast 4 (they still look almost new apart from the outsoles). I’ve run about 750 km in them, and the foam has clearly passed its best days.

Requirements:

  • they must not be too soft (like Vomero Plus or previous versions of NB 1080 — I bottom out in those on harder landings)
  • they should be able to do what the Novablast 4 does
  • high level of cushioning
  • they must handle my weight and not lose cushioning too quickly
  • suitable for racing a half marathon (I originally wanted to break 2:10, but infections and multiple courses of antibiotics ruined my preparation, so now I just want to finish in the best time possible)

I’ve been considering:

  • Superblast 2 (the 3 might be too soft, but I’m not sure about the width, and I’m also unsure about sizing — I wore US 11.5 in Novablast 4, while Novablast 5 in US 11.5 felt slightly too big)
  • Supernova Prima 2 (they are wide, but I’m not sure if the cushioning will be sufficient)
  • NB More v6 (won’t they be too soft?)
  • NB Rebel v5 (enough cushioning?)
  • NB Vongo v6 (I’m currently trying them on, but I’m not sure if the cushioning is enough; at least the upper is stretchy and adapts well)
  • Mizuno Neo Vista 2 (won’t they be too similar to the Magmax?)
  • Mizuno Neo Zen (the first version, but it’s already quite hard to find)

I’ve already returned the Glycerin 23 — even though they weren’t narrow, they put pressure exactly where my calluses usually form, already while trying them on at home.

Do you think any of the listed options would be the best choice? Or am I missing something?

I've found Superblast 2 on Amazon. But the size is 46/48 EU.

It doesn't make any sense and even customer care cannot tell me if I'll receive 46 or 48 (they've told 48 most probably).

Do you have any experience with such weird sizing on Amazon? For sure it is not men 46 and women 48, because in EUR size they're the same, just size in US/UK differs between men and women.
