Unpopular opinion: News and social media companies should only be non-profit and it’s employees should hold all voting power. They form public opinion and we can’t have billionaires influence those companies.

News companies posting fake news just to be profitable or them not reporting on a topic because their billionaire owner doesn’t want that are too big threats in an information based society. Billionaires like Elon buying a whole platform or Zuckerberg holding total voting power at Meta is a threat to free speech and privacy.

Removing the money aspect means users are going to be treated less like cows to milked and giving employees all voting power means they can have a bold stance against any authoritarian company leader who thinks he can undermine integrity of the company instead of having to fear instant consequences for talking out loud.

Unpopular opinion: I think the Air is made for rich people.

Exaggerated: I think this phone is for people who don’t have to proof others that they are "pro" with three cameras and they don’t need to post their whole life on instagram with three different cams because they just don’t care and/or already made it in life.

They prioritise form/style over function - their phone is more an accessory than a tool. They don’t care that poor people tell them it’s a "bad deal for that money" they just appreciate the lightness, premium finish and the fact that it’s state of the art.

Discussion: Why would anyone start a new app today?

2,000 apps are released every single day.. every category saturated, ASO won’t help you anymore because there’re like 100 apps for every „niche“, Apple Ads cost you about $10-20 for every paying user, users now generally hate the idea of installing new apps and on top of that you have costs for hosting/membership fee/AI etc.. Why would anyone start an app business today?
