$50 referral code!

https://www.vinted.com/invite/cliffhanged

Thought I’d share here since it seems some people have $15 referrals, and some have $50. If you use my referral, you get $50 & I get $50!

You must list 3 items within 7 days of signing up for Vinted we will each get $20 to spend on the app. We’ll each get an additional $30 after you make your first sale.

I’ve been using Vinted for ~2 months now and made a good number of sales, for me it’s been better than poshmark/depop right now, especially for items that weren’t moving on those platforms. In the US right now there are no seller fees and free shipping so I think the app is busier than usual. Vinted generates all labels as sold and you can go through FedEx or USPS, option to print or QR code.

Azure standard pick up?

Hello, I know this sub is fairly small and this is a niche question, but does anybody here use azure standard for bulk ordering organic produce? I’m interested in using it for the first time and saw that there is a pick up in TR called Daily Manna and was wondering if anyone was familiar with them (since I didn’t see a business with this name online). Thanks for reading. :)

*as a side note, I love supporting local at the farmers market for most things, I just can’t get dried beans and wheat berries there which is why I’m considering Azure.

To fertilize or not to fertilize?

Hello, this is my first year growing blueberries from some little pots that I got at a farmers market a few months ago. I probably left them in the pot for too long, and about two weeks ago I finally repotted them. I made an acidic soil mix and bought specialty fertilizer, but I have not used it yet. There was a little bit of transplant shock which I expected, but now two weeks later there is still some staining on the leaves and I’m concerned that maybe there are some nutrients missing in the soil mix. I’ve been trying to Google this and my understanding was that a half dose fertilizer could be a good idea, but was wondering what someone with more experience might think :) thank you for reading!

Fig tree branches

Hi! An odd request, but would anybody with a fig tree be willing to spare a couple branches (assuming I’ll accidentally kill one lol). I am trying to propagate a fig tree to plant next spring :) the branch would need to be ~6in semi hardwood (turning green to brown). I’m towards north GVL but would be happy to pick up elsewhere. I would love to repay you with some sourdough or monstera cuttings if you’re interested. Thank you!

Edit: I’m not sure if this is the right flair for such a niche request? If not sorry mods 🫣

New to this- how’d I do?

Hello! I started my garden 1 week ago with a simple watermelon and pumpkin starter from a farmers market. It’s nothing fancy or extensive (lol) but I’m so happy to get started!! There’s clay soil where I live so figuring out how to amend before planting was difficult. I ended up using cardboard to cover/kill the grass, cut a central hole in it for future roots + covered with a blend of soil, peat moss, and chicken grit (functions similarly to perlite and I had some leftovers from our chickens). Any advice or feedback? I’m super new to this and dont really know what I’m doing, so anything is appreciated! :)

EDIT: clearly this is the beginning of a learning journey. lol

When to report changes?

Hi- This is for South Carolina. I was approved for snap (which has been so helpful) for the past couple months. My husband recently got a job starting July 1st, but has not received a paycheck yet, and his first paycheck will be under the IRT for our family (his check will be ~$2,400, and our IRT is $2,888).

I received a mail notice when I was accepted for SNAP saying that all changes must be reported by the 10th of the following month, or if we go over our IRT. So, should I report these changes with his first paycheck? Or after the second/when we go over our IRT? Or now, because he started on the 1st?

Order not delivered, but says delivered at my house??

Hi!! I’m a new Depop user and so far, have bought and sold about ~12 items no problem and have had no issues with the app until now. However I ordered this dress I got at a great price a few days ago, and now tracking says “delivered to alternative door/garage door” but I don’t have either lol. All of my previous purchases went straight to my mailbox 🥲 the seller seemed super nice and honest, but is this a common issue/scam? Or is shipping through Depop sometimes messed up/delivery is incorrect? I was so excited for this dress and I’m praying it still shows up tmw 😭

EDIT: so I reached out to USPS and they said the delivery address is not the same as my address 😭 does this mean it is a scam???

Thrifted antique chairs, do I need to toss?

Hi! Very very novice to wood working/wood quality here, so this may be a silly post- but my husband and I recently got a set of gorgeous wood chairs from a thrift store for our dining room. After we got home with them, I noticed these clusters of small holes all over. Is there any concern here for termites or beetles? I read online that these can be for “design” so I’m hoping that’s the case since these are so sturdy 😅 Thanks for reading!
