Portable emudeck for Linux?

I've got a couple bazzite PCs and have emudeck on all, including steam deck.

But I don't use as much as I want to as I don't want to be tied to a specific PC for saves. I tried the save backup and it was a pain and didn't really work. But the real reason is it seems a waste to have almost identical emulation set ups on 3 different PCs and it takes up a good bit of internal storage.

Can I set up a portable SSD emudeck install that is plug and play on Linux? I've got a sata ssd in an enclosure and it would really make the most sense to just use that for my emulation setup that can be moved to whatever device I want.

Bonus is if it works on bazzite game mode. I'll leave the steam deck alone it's all on the micro SD card and my kid has mostly taken that over anyway.

Lian Li B4 sfx-l psa

Just finished case swapping to the B4. Haven't really tested yet as the build took longer.

The reason for the longer build is my psu is the thermaltake toughpower sfx 1000w. Despite the name saying sfx I learned today it's an sfx-l with dimensions of 125mm(W)x63.5mm(H)x126mm(D).

That's just a bit too long to fit in the B4 with the sfx bracket.

I ended up putting it in the atx bracket, and sadly this does mean I can't use the fan below the psu.

However, I did mount the psu with the connections facing the back and there was surprisingly enough room to shove the cables back there so they weren't going down into the GPU.

Driver level FSR 4 for RDNA 3 yet? How to activate?

So for Windows it looks like AMD just released on a driver level to allow RDNA 3 cards to use FSR 4. I may be wrong as I don't have an AMD card on my Windows PC.

I've been using optiscaler for months on my bazzite htpc through deckyloader, and while it works I would rather have the official option.

Had AMD updated the open source driver to let us RDNA 3 players use FSR 4 yet? If not, what do we have to do to get it working? Do I still just keep using optiscaler?

Phone controller with expandable storage?

With Android gaming advancing as quickly as it is, the thing that still annoys me is the lack of sd cards or expandable storage.

A bunch of phone controllers connect via USB c so is there a technical reason a controller couldn't include an SD card slot or even another USB c port to allow a flash drive? My preference would be SD card as it's not prone to get caught and looks like it's one piece.

If it's possible why do you think none have come out with the feature?

Have any steam controller reservations been fulfilled?

I put my reservation in for a controller soon after the reservations opened and have heard nothing since.

Just wondering if anyone who reserved one has gotten a controller yet, or even an email saying you can buy soon?

GameCube won't boot into swiss

I have a DOL-001 with the kaico hdmi adapter. It's got picoboot installed and everything worked fine with this for awhile.

I did the USB-C power mod (and replaced the fan). I'm using the exact gan brick they recommended on the page for the USB c kit.

However, since then it only boots into swiss like 10% of the time. I'm assuming there is just too much power being asked for with all the changes and the USB c just can't keep up, but I would love to be wrong.

Does anyone have a similar setup and it all work? If yes, did you have to do anything different?

Modding knights of the old Republic guide?

I've been looking and can't find any real guide or instructions on modding knights of the old Republic 1 and 2? Trying to get it going so my oldest can play for the first time.

I'm running into issues as a large majority of mods need a patched exe. Is there a usable Linux modding guide for these games? Is it possible to install all the mods on a Windows PC and just copy to a USB and replace the steam folder? I would rather avoid the windows option if possible since I'm just waiting for the Nvidia drivers to be fixed to get rid of windows completely.
