Icon Deciphering Pt 2

Many thanks to the people who commented last time!

I just wanted to provide a little update to the progress of the cards and how I implemented feedback.

SO, the genres now have silhouettes so it is more colourblind friendly. I also included a table of names so its clearer to understand what each symbol means. The x and the + and OR have been implemented into the cards so hopefully much easier to understand. I changed around the structure a little as well.

Thanks in advance if anyone has any additional comments!

Icon Deciphering Part 2

Thanks to everybody who gave me some helpful suggestions last time!

I added a couple of silhouettes to the symbols so hopefully those who are colourblind finds them clear and understandable. I also gave a bitttt more structure to the cheat sheet (player aid) and the cards themselves. I find myself a little bit confused if the boxes are clearer now but I do think it's heading in a better direction than before.

Icon Deciphering

I've been working on my game for a while and finally getting around to icons designing!

I realised the Solar Express card and the Robert and the Giant Pear card use the condition component in different ways so I need to add an additional component, but I would love some feedback whether the icons are clear otherwise!

Would love some feedback on the clarity of the icons! Thanks in advance!

Finally getting around to icons

I'm finally at a stage where the game feels solid enough on its own that I can work on converting my effects into icons. I think I identified that The Solar Express card and the Robert and the Giant Peach card uses the condition component slightly differently so I might need to add an additional component to differentiate the different ways to read them.

I would love some feedback on whether the icons are relatively understandable with the cheat sheet on the left.

Is perfection the key to success, or does it stop us from starting?

I've been writing a short book called How to Take Care of Yourself & Others. One theme I explored was how often we chase the "perfect" solution for our health, homes, relationships, and even our sense of self.

Care rarely looks like perfection. Instead, more often, it looks like attention, intention, and small adjustments repeated over time.

The book navigates through four areas of everyday life: Health, Belongings, Environment, and Relationships. It combines personal reflections, psychology, design-thinking, and a number of diagrams I've developed along the way.

I'm looking for interested readers and would be happy to send a free chapter. Feel free to DM me if you'd like a copy, and I'd love to hear feedback.

What's one area of life where striving for perfection has helped, and one where it has held you back?

My First Book!! - How to Take Care of Yourself & Others

I wrote my first book!! Honestly, it's been a life goal to write one, so the fact I ever made a book is a huge milestone! It's short, concise, and packed with frameworks that spark curiosity!

How to Take Care of Yourself & Others: Why Everyday Life Deserves Intention & Structure is based on psychology, philosophy, design, and self-reflection moments. I wanted to create a book that was both practical for those searching for self-help and emotionally honest to myself.

As both a design and psychology student, I always saw so much crossover between the two that it wasn't funny, and even if there were books already out there that covered the topic, I wanted to create my personal take on it.

Thanks for reading my little spiel.

Please check out my book if you are interested!

So nervous...

This is my first ever book and I'm just happy I got something done! I have been thinking about writing a book for a long time and until this project happened, I kept putting it off and off and off. The fact it's out there now makes me scream of happiness and embarrassment.

Showing off my game was really interesting especially when showing it to the general public. It was such an intense day and demoing my game was really exciting!
