Okay third one for today.

I haven’t been writing poems recently, tara I wanna know different styles of writing. Lemme know what kinda poems you guys write usually. And how you write it. Lemme know if I could improve my style of writing.

Anyone writes poems here?

I don't know if there's a subreddit for poems. I write poems sometimes, though not that often. It depends on when I get inspiration. How do you guys write if you write? Is it freestyle or do you guys have a pattern? This is one I wrote a year ago.

For those who read and think, and act.

Hey guys. I have an i n s t a page. Youthforchange.1. I write blogs every now and then about Nepal and her issues from my perspective. Just a young guy writing his ideas vanam. Sometimes I make memes as well. Might have a look and give a follow or give suggestions? I want to cover economic and social issues, but not what makes me relevant kind of. Hate flowing with the trend. Love having vision.

Tips from non finance to finance

Hey everyone. I am an international student in Toronto, Canada and wanted to break into finance. Been working in non finance roles full time, but been doing CFA program as well, just hoping to have an entry in finance, coz no one called me in anything that I applied after graduating, for my diploma and no finance experience. So, I passed level 1 and 2 after my graduation, and am a level 3 candidate as well.

Just curious, as I have never been in the professional finance field, what are my chances? Even if it might be slim, what skills should I work on to have the odds increased. I am honestly willing to work on it, as I think I am a quick learner given I decide to learn it. Which positions am I eligible to apply? Honestly, my lack of finance professional circle, and me not being in the field, has left me no clue about the positions I can apply for. i read job description and be like wth is this haha.

Roast my cv as well. And if anyone is here from Toronto or Canada, I would be happy for networking and discussing any opportunities haha.

Thanks.

PS: I posted on Torontojobs and was commented go back home lmaoo. Funny.

Regarding psm

Hey guys, did my psm in level 1 for financial modelling. It was rushed at that time. I have passed level 2, and am trying to learn modelling. But I cannot access that. So, does anybody know about any resource that allows me to learn it? Any youtube channels that are offering for free??

Thanks l.

Study group for level 3 for Feb 27.

Hey, 24m here. Anyone interested in having some online group, even physical study session would be good if we are from the same place? Resource and notes sharing, checking upon each other. Asking about study strategies. Not saying it would be a super active group as all are busy with their own lives. But every now and then, can push and nudge.

I am in Canada atm. Anyone from anywhere would do good tbh, as long as things get productive. Hmu. Thanks.

Inspiration prolly. Prolly seeking advices.

I came to Toronto, Canada, as an international student, and did my diploma here. A subject in second sem about accounting and financial ratios got me interested, and that made me want to pursue a career in finance. I researched here and there, applied to a couple of entry levels, bank’s and credit union’s customer service, got definitely ghosted and rejected. Handed a couple of resumes to money transfers and currency exchanges down the Younge line, didn’t hear from them as well.

I looked up for certifications, hoping it would help me get somewhere. Looked up for csc, as I was advised by seniors to consider if I wanted to make it into banks. Found it boring, and theoretical with slices of everything from yield curve to banks to process logically. I was like what the heck is yield curve.

A year and half after my graduation, I passed both level 1 and 2 of CFA in a span of a year. Had to google almost every single term for level 1 until I kinda had an idea of what financial terms and ideas meant. And am registered for level 3 for this Feb, 26. I took the higher education and professional experience amounting to 4k hours in a sequence of 3 years route to register for my CFA. I used to work in sales and some minor book keeping back at home.

I work as a line cook at the moment. I really haven’t applied much since those rejections during my college. Tried a couple of times after passing level 1 but idk maybe it is the odd jobs and no experience and bachelors, or lack of professional networks and friends, I got no response. Imposter syndrome? Do I even belong among those elite people lol?

But as I did pass level 2. Just feels good to look back to where it all started. Maybe there is a lot more ahead. Now, I feel I am eligible for some entry levels at the very least lol. I hope so haha. Do suggest me or any guidance would help as well.

PS: I am good at handling pressures, thanks to the rush and occasional understaffing in the line lol.

PS2: Ik alot has been discussed here about pathways. Just curious how interesting is portfolio mgmt?

Studyy buddy.

Hey just passed Cfa level 2. And am planning to give level 3 this Feb. Looking for a study buddy or a group in Canada. Toronto would be amazing. Idk how the group is supposed to work and how active it is possible to have it, but guess checking on each other sometimes and sharing resource and notes will nudge to prepare better I suppose. Do let me know. Thanks.

Once again congrats to everyone who passed and positive well wishes to those with the put option. Just be consistent and try to understand and practice sincerely. Luck is also a factor but the more effort you put in, the more luck tilts to your favour, would be my suggestion. And anyway there is always an error factor. Keep the spirits high. Just know CFA is something, but not everything, and definitely not the only route to a, idk if the word is successful, but at the least a lil better life.

Kudos. Keep the spirits high fellas.
