Mizi Sua Alien Stage flooded my fyp recently and I watched it and I was like GOD DAMN MASTERPIECE IN SYMBOLISM. And then I scrolled down just to see a video called “My September”. AND IT’S THE VIDEO I’VE BEEN TRYING TO LOOK FOR, FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. It was what got me into this creator / artist VIVINOS and I was like no wonder Alien Stage was so good, cuz it’s made by the same artist!!!!

So excited one of my top fav artist is blowing up

Sancho Delos Pancho

Re-reading Adachi to Shimamura, vol 8 chapter 44.1. The scene where they’re forming groups for the trip. I’ve always thought the side characters names are a bit funny. Then I searched it up and found a song called “Sancho•de•los•panchoz” where the composer’s name is Shimomura.

Idk if this is intentional or just a coincidence but it’s really funny it me lol

Chapter 229

Re-reading this novel for god knows how many times, I reached to chapter 229 and what a painful yet sweet intimacy scene. It hurts so much to watch them tbh.

And also, after doing the deed with Shiori, wanting more, Hazuki said this (see screenshot). Could someone tell me if she actually used the word “love”? If so, damn.

In denial of resolving problems

I notice this pattern, many women (cuz I mainly talk to women so idk about men) are well aware of their issues, whether it’s relationship-wise, work-wise, but even if they’re aware, they wouldn’t do anything about it. You can tell from the small things they do in life. For example knowing they struggle to pack due to ADHD, yet doesn’t try to do anything about it to resolve it.

And I found that often these types of people tend to attract a more toxic, hopeless relationship, where they often get really hooked up on their partner, and ended up narrow-visioned. Even if there was an easier path that was right there. It’s like that one. This trait creeps into their work life, family life, love life etc. They’re not in denial of the problem, but in denial to resolve it. It’s like they’re trapped in a cage they built for themselves. Or yk that one bird trapped in a cage with wide gaps meme pic.

Before when my friends come to me for relationship advice, I’d always try my best to support them, or even try to give them the 3rd person’s POV. Then I realise there’s probably no point in talking to someone who acknowledges their problem but does not resolve it. So I just end up giving them emotional support instead of constructive ones.

I need ur analysis and opinion on this manga

Manga name: If I Could Reach You

Phew, what a long read! I’ve spent a total amount of £23.94 on all volumes and damn… I think it’s worth the money.

>!Totally did not expect Reiichi to mentally cheat in the first place, until I realise— ohhh he married Kaoru because he felt like it was his responsibility. And honestly damn. I’m sad that Uta never moved on, since even she herself said, it was a very narrow romance spec and it limits her a lot, but also the author mentioned how loving Kaoru was her motivation to continue to thrive in the first place. So… idk atp, go hopeless lesbian???!<

>!I wouldn’t say this is exactly a super realistic but then it’s not far from reality at all, which is what I like. A too realistic plot would hit home too much. Yet it was a lot more adulty and mature emotionally than I anticipated. It dived into marriage but not being able to distinguish the feeling of actually romantically loving them or just love them as a person, or care. It’s funny how Kaoru the hopeless straight girl attracts hopeless lesbians, first Uta then Risako (I know she wasn’t exactly attracted but shush yall). I really appreciate how everyone has their own flaws yet good qualities, no one is really THE bad guy here. Everyone was just trying to figure out their feelings and how to live, and sometimes they live in denial.!<

>!TBH, my fav character arc was actually Reicchi’s (Uta’s is just pure pain atp). His good quality is being empathetic, reassuring and protective, but that’s exactly what dragged him down into endless burden and guilt he should’ve never carried in the first place. I like how you could see he tries to show affection romantically, and he blames himself from seeing Risako on the side while Kaoru got injured. Yet he just couldn’t stop himself. Not because he’s incredibly evil, but because he never followed his heart in the first place. He’ll eventually slip and fails to give Kaoru the love she needed and deserved. Risako was indeed an important character to bring this issue for both Reichi and Kaoru to see clearly and face it.!<

>!And Kaoru… Miss girl was the final boss of denial. Denial of her husband cheating, denial of her frd stealing her love interest, denial of Uta’s feelings, you fucking name it lol. But awesome character development, awesome growth, she’s more emotionally reliant on others but that’s okay. Because she’s relying on the right person — Uta. It shows us a side of an adult who may seem mature, but they still need emotional support, even if it was from a high school kid.!<

>!But still, I’m incredibly sad that Uta would never receive romantic love from Kaoru, no matter how much Kaoru cares for her, and how much they love each other…!<

>!Kaoru would only say “I want to live with you” or “you’re the person I think of the most” instead of the romantic “I love you.” Just makes it extra sad, especially when they finally lived together just the two of them when Uta entered the work force.!<

>!Uta is forever going to be hopeless isn’t she? Cuz I could never lmao.!<

Edit: I’ve just read the epilogue as instructed by a kind commenter and I can die happily now. No regrets.

Find yourself a friend like this

POV: you’re a hopeless lesbian stuck in unrequited love, u tried to get a job to distract yourself and ur crush referenced you to work there. But quotas are full so the manager can’t hire you. Instead you ran into ur bestie who was working their the whole time and they got u a job just because you’re such a sad little hopeless lesbian.

Where’s my bestie that could get me employed just because I’m hopelessly in love?

Relationship Guidelines

Manhwa name: Relationship Guidelines

This feels like one of those OG yuris for me personally, feels like it belong to the same era as Bloom Into You. Another really good one, acceptable amount of angst, good character development, no weird sexualisation of minors and good plot. And I love their art style and outfit designs.

I highkey enjoy their “above friends but not lovers yet” era, it’s extra 🤌🤌🤌

Similar to How Do We Relationship, it gives us a pretty realistic pov on how girl x girl relationships work when it comes to Korean dating culture. Overall a cute piece and Myeongin is so hot. A really good re-read.

Feels like it’s been ages seeing characters born in the early 2000s lmao they’re my generation 😭

This is the best read by far

Just finished the series yesterday. I really really like how it ended. Just >!another mundane day, with your gf/wife and it ends. It’s actually so perfect.!< I know that this piece had >!many couples, ships, on and off relationships, but they’re all so realistic to the point that you would go “oh wow this is like looking at my friends irl”, instead of “ew this plot is hurting my brain”.!< Also >!im so glad that despite they have anxious moments at the end where Sae was worried something might come up and the 10 years relationship they have will break, the author kept it open and let it be.!< Cuz that’s just life!

I must thank all those people who recommended this piece to me, because this is truly a great work. It’s mature (emotionally and socially) and great for young adults to read. When I was 15, Bloom Into You was on the top of my list. Now that I’m in my early 20s, HDWR will be the new top of my list.

The end of romance isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning of something new.

What a goated quote from the author. I can’t believe I would have a favourite breaking up scene but this would be it.

Oh wow.

What a great depiction of different expectations of relationship. >!Yuria wanted something more phased (I mean that by not sticking to the same thing or the same person the entire time), while Sae wanted something that could last forever.!< There’s no right or wrong, just different perspectives and needs. And that’s what make it hurt the most because they’re so compatible.

Also on a side note, I love the fact that Sae and Miwa still >!had feelings for each other. Like a teeny weeny bit. It doesn’t mean they didn’t move on. It just meant they truly cared about each other back when they’re dating. And your feelings just don’t fade away instantly like that.!<
