A Girl’s Delusion (Light novel)

Reading this felt like I’m high. In a good way. It’s exactly what it feels like to have a crush, or a special someone, yet it’s a little one-sided, but maybe they’re into you too. But you never really manage to keep up with them. It’s like that one long fever dream you had, in the summer, by the sea, and then you wake up to find yourself as someone in their late 30s working at a tea shop. It was all just a dream. Or was it regret?

Beautifully written, but it’s not for everyone because it could get so confusing when the POVs alternative from reality to dreams. It’s open to interpretation, SO MUCH interpretation. But a fun read that you sometimes think about at the back of your mind.

Spoiler alert + alert before you read it:
>!There is incest and age gap but it only makes up a lowkey shorter part of the story and there was no graphic scenes or whatever, there was no actual grooming tbh. It’s crucial but still acceptable in my opinion… for the plot…!<

Here’s a fan English translation if anyone wants it: https://www.scribd.com/document/976464118/A-Girl-in-Delusion-Chapter-1

Official Chinese (traditional Chinese, Taiwanese) translation can be found online or via apple book store.

Weekly discussion - Hardest scene to read?

I’ve seen another manga/manhwa sub do this weekly discussion thingy and I’m intrigued.

What was the scene that was the hardest to read for you?

I’ll go first. For me it’s when >!Rin’s mom tried to ‘pursue’ Sensei and even offered to let her live with them. It gave me goosebumps. The other scene is when the mother-in-law was practically taking the piss at Sensei, when she found out Sensei cheated. Imo it was deserved because she did literally commit a crime but icl not from that (lowkey misogynistic) mother-in-law tho lol, she’s just been a hater but it’s so painfully realistic that I dislike it.!<

Year of yuri

2026 is truly the year of yuri because what do you mean we have A WHOLE ASS LIST of yuris with animated versions and then one of the winners of Fields Medals at the International Congress of Mathematicians (DengYu) IS A MEGA YURI FAN???

The interviewer was asking him what he was doing when he realised he got the medal, he said he was reading a romance novel. In a documentary, mf placed a mug with Sayaka’s face(Bloom Into You) on the desk. And he deadass posted a Sayaka meme when on social media after winning the award lmao.

I fucking knew reading yuri makes me smart.

Blood time~

Name: Blood Time
Where to read: tapas
(Its a Korean manhwa btw I added the wrong flair oops)

Get yourself a hot vampire gf who thinks ur blood tastes special and gets turned on by that.

This has the most homoerotic tension between the characters lol and I love it. I wish the artist had drew the protagonist with a little more care when it comes to ecchi scenes tho, like ik it’s meant to be funny and meme-like but don’t do my girl like that 😭

What’s one thing / experience that completely changed your perception on your family?

I’ll go first. I was visiting my dad’s office during a random weekend when I was around 18. His office’s janitor saw me and the three of us made some convo. And then right when she’s about to leave, she asked my dad “So John, how many kids do you actually have?”

Context: my brother hated my dad so he doesn’t acknowledge him as a son. My step sister is much older than us and is okay with him. But that still didn’t really make sense. That’s the moment I realise that he wasn’t just cheating on my mother, but he also had quite a few kids without us knowing. And I bet those kids also don’t know I exist too.

Sancho Delos Pancho

Re-reading Adachi to Shimamura, vol 8 chapter 44.1. The scene where they’re forming groups for the trip. I’ve always thought the side characters names are a bit funny. Then I searched it up and found a song called “Sancho•de•los•panchoz” where the composer’s name is Shimomura.

Idk if this is intentional or just a coincidence but it’s really funny it me lol

Manga name: Adachi to Shimamura
