Just a reminder that this dude should not be taken seriously and is not on your side

he let the attention go to his head and is now just Ego posting.

It's not about gamer rights it's about how much attention he can get.

Weapon suggestion: the Folding shotgun

the shotgun performance would be similar to the specter bayonet in terms of range.

It would be a three slot shotgun that has the performance of a 4 slot shotgun.

however to manage this the shotgun has a very noticeable downside: the draw and holster speed.

Drawing the shotgun is quicker than holstering it, but is still slower than normally swapping weapons due to having to unfold the shotgun on draw, this means you cannot just whip the shotgun out mid fight and blast them like you could with a rIval Sawed off.

Holstering the shotgun will leave you vulnerable for longer as you must disengage the locking surfaces and fold it, if this is done midfight you will be giving your opponent free shots while you fumble to put your gun away.

unlike other compact shotguns in this game, this is not something you can just pull out in a close range gunfight as a force multiplier, you will have to commit to this shotgun before going into a fight or risk giving your opponent free shots on you.

My actual suggestion for the air rifle

No shitpost this time, just how I honestly think it could be implemented.

is this AICS stock for R700 copyright/patent protected?

this stock is very iconic and cool looking but sadly Accuracy International no longer sells it.

these sell for ridiculously high prices used due to demand, is the stock design patented/copyright protected because if not I could see there being some money in producing these stocks not just for R700's but also other makes and models of precision bolt actions.

if accuracy international doesn't want to make money off this design, there's no reason other people can't.

What would be your ideal Battletech game?

Mine would be listed above, Battletechs combined arms setting with the gameplay style of Star Wars Battlefront, being able to actually have infantry, tanks, Aerospace and mechs all fighting on the same battlefield would be legendary.

Extraction camping shouldn't be removed, but it does need to be changed

Yes I get it another extraction camping post, but instead of just saying it's bad and how to stop it I'm going to explain Why it's an issue and needs to be changed.

first off why is it an issue?

it's an issue because fundamentally it not only hurts new players but also rewards players with little to no risk.

players starting out generally won't have the parts needed to make a trampler that can stop an extraction camper, so they will be targeted more, if a new player keeps having their trampler stolen by extraction campers they will stop playing the game, which will result in the game dying. this is not good.

as well the extraction camper has no actual risk of losing anything other than what's on their person, they already extracted their trampler and loot, they have zero reason to actually extract with their trampler.

this means they can stay in the match as long as they want, camping the extract and continuously extracting tramplers as long as they remain alive, the only thing at risk is their time and character items, neither they care much about.

that's the biggest problem, there is nothing to disincentivize them from staying in the match, meanwhile while they sit in the match camping extract they are actively taking up a server slot that could be used for another trampler.

I'm under no delusion that you can stop extract camping, barring from making them a no PVP zone (that's a terrible idea and will never happen) but you can disincentivize it, and here are some ways.

#1 extracts need to be placed further apart and more, there should always be six extracts in a match and they should have a minimum distance that they can spawn next to each other, extracts should never be clumped together in one corner. this would make it harder for a camper to be able to patrol multiple extracts at once for players.

#2 extract beacons should have a light on them, they turn red when a players is within 100 meters of the beacon and yellow when within 300 meters, this warns crews that someone is near the extract and likely watching or patrolling it, if the extract is clear the light will be green

#3 sand worms attack players who are off a trampler for too long, if you want to patrol the desert that's fine, but you will periodically be attacked by sand worms, you can kill them and it will reset their timer, but you will be using resources and making noise while you do this, making it harder to sneak up on a trampler

#4 add an alarmed entrance as a trampler part, this would be an early tech tree part, it's function is simple when someone who is not part of your crew touches the ladder and alarm will sound alerting you someone is boarding your trampler.

none of these suggestions would remove extract camping as a tactic, but it would make it harder and add to the risk to get that reward of another trampler full of loot.

Rotate extraction towers after use

This woulf be a big way to combat extraction camping. After a extraction is used have it disable and switch to a new location.

This way someone can't just extract their trampler and sit on that extract until another trampler arrives.

It should also help solve the problem of extracts being too clustered together sometimes.

Don't make the mistakes of sea of thieves, nerf bunny hopping

The constant bunny hopping during PVP in ses of thieves makes it unbearable, thankfully this game doesn't have near instant healing so people can't just bunny hop around while healing.

I think the best way to counter this is just have a longer cool down between jumps.

I know the devs are fans of hunt: showdown because they've basically copied the hunter control scheme as the smuggler style.

It might be best to look at how they dealt with jumping in their game. Because if this game had the ship to ship combat of sea of thieves and the player versus player combat of hunt: showdown it would be a homerun

[Suggestion] Ideas for new weapons both Trampler & handheld

#1 Mounted Maxim gun, used primarily as a anti infantry weapon mounted on tramplers to target the crew, Armor piercing ammo would do minor structural damage to trampler.

#2 Mortar, Indirect fire artillery piece, can be used to fire at tramplers over on the other side of dunes, difficult to hit moving target but offers long range indirect damage (probably not one that big)

#3 flame thrower, mounts on trampler used as close range anti-crew, does minor structural damage and can start fires on tramplers.

#4 lever action repeater, handhled weapon uses 8x21 ammunition, good rate of fire and capacity but lower damage than other rifles.

#5 Inertial shotgun, semi automatic shotgun with a 5 round capacity, would be a high tier shotgun.

#6 Experimental sub machine gun, fires 8x21 ammunition from 20 round stick mags at a high fire rate. (This game is a set in a Diesel punk Austro-Hungarian world, the hellriegal is literally perfect for this setting)

[Suggestion] salvage insurance

Salvage insurance guarantees that if your trampled is stolen or destroyed you will receive %50 of materials used in constructed.

Alternatively pay %75 of your tramplers value in crowns up front and you get all scrap value back upon losing your trampler.

[Suggestion] player lockbox

The implementation of this is like many other extraction shooters. The lockbox would be located within your living quarters.

Each player has their own lockbox in their quarters, the lockbox would have 4 loot slots. In the event of the trampled being destroyed the lockbox will be salvaged and the contents added to your stash.

If not destroyed the contents of the lockbox will still be transferred to your stash.
