Progresso Jambalaya

Finally, a grocery store offering with an actual kick to it! Much hotter than Campbell's Chunky "Spicy" offerings. My tolerance is much higher, but this had way more bite than I expected. Give it a try if you can get it at a reasonable price. Label only lists "red chile pepper" on the ingredients... wonder which variety they actually used

Homeless and broke... need help getting some shoes (men's size 10.5)

Hello everyone,

Hope you've all been staying safe and cool.

Homeless and broke guy here in the Centennial Hills/Skye Canyon area. Been walking about ten miles every day lately and my shoes are absolutely worn out. The soles have holes and cracks that let in a lot of dirt, and a lot of heat. My right big toe is in contact with the ground at all times. If it ever rains again, water will get in easily too. The attached picture should make it pretty clear.

I am aware of a few shelters across town offering possible help with this ; however, all of them require a walk of 15+ miles/5.5 hours one way. Willing to make the trek, but asking here might work faster.

Since being on the streets, there has been a lot I've learned to go without. But with the kind of weather we have, shoes aren't really something I can disregard.

I wear men's size 10.5. Prefer black but will take any color at this point as long as the soles are intact.

Really appreciate anyone that can help me out. Willing to meet up to pick up a pair in either of my two neighborhoods. If you'd prefer to give anonymously, feel free to hide the shoes somewhere and leave me a message with instructions where to find them.

Thanks for reading, hopeful that someone here can be of assistance.

I have food, water, most clothing, and a safe place (outdoors) to sleep at night. Not looking for other donations, but am open to them. Socks, sunglasses, and 34x30 pants would be especially helpful.

Probably won't be able to check my messages again until tomorrow morning, so please be patient waiting for a reply.

Appreciate it

Update: u/Former-Wealth1494 hooked me up with shoes, socks, and pants. Super cool! Very thankful for the help. u/frauokten also gave me some shoes and socks! So grateful.

Thanks so much everybody, means a lot

Eat fried chicken and have a beer with me tomorrow at Mountain Ridge Park

I'll be there at like 1 PM on the bleachers between the skate parks. Leave a comment if you're going to show up so I know how much stuff to bring

What's your free throw routine?

I bounce the ball four times and fully exhale. Then I shoot the ball. What do you do when you're at the line?

Here's why the federal gas tax drop wouldn't impact Nevada

For most of the country, that would drop prices by about 18 cents per gallon of regular gas and 24 cents for diesel.

But in Nevada, a law the legislature passed in 1997 would automatically raise our state gas tax to fill the gap and keep prices the same.

The law was originally intended to keep infrastructure funding intact.

Saw this for the first time today and picked it up. Great flavor, but expected a little more spice from a hot sauce company. Added some heat of my own. Price seems slightly high for the amount you get, but not excessive. Probably a one-time grab but enjoy it well enough. Anybody else tried it?
