Anger and frustration with ultrasound tech

Hi, long-ish rant story incoming.

I had an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound the other day. Not as a part of my follow up stuff (I'm on surveillance for a stage 1 & grade 1 germ cell immature teratoma) but because since the surgery I think I've been having some pelvic floor issues. Anyway, my doctor wanted to rule out other things so she sent me for an ultrasound.

I got there, everything started normally, and physically speaking, the tech appropriately and normally did the scan. At the beginning though, as he was doing it, it came up that I had a ct that didnt show anything else (I think I was probably briefly explaining that I thought I just had pelvic floor issues) and he asked why I'd be sent for a ct before an ultrasound. I then briefly mentioned that I do follow up surveillance scans for my tumour, because it was cancerous.

He then told me, tumours aren't always cancerous.

I told him "I know, mine was a mixed teratoma with mature and immature parts so unfortunately I did have some cancer in there." He said, "well, teratomas aren't cancer" and then laughed a bit. I was a bit uncomfortable at this point so I just laughed and said "yup, stage 1 grade 1. Unfortunately, but thankfully they got it all in surgery." And he proceeded to double down and say that teratomas could not be cancerous and asked if I googled a lot of medical symptoms. I said "Not really, I just listen to my doctors." And he said I should stay off of Google.

I was obviously aware that I had the rest of the appointment to get through and I didn't want to wait and reschedule so I just shrugged and stopped talking. His tone was very condescending, but in a "friendly" way? If that makes sense. Didn't love it.

I have never in my life put in a complaint about somebody in their workplace, it's not something I'm generally comfortable with, because you never know.

But would I be dramatic to put in a formal complaint? I have an appointment with my doctor this week too, so I might mention it and ask that I be referred elsewhere next time.

Idk I'm really frustrated with it and irritated and a bit shocked.

My pics of my beloved local raven

Hearing him/her hours later flying around as I type this ...lol. Here's some quick photos of one of my visitors today:)

4 beautiful ravens came to visit me today, usually it's just the one out of the bunch that sits on the tree. Pretty sure this one is the one that's usually here.

My model raven helping me practice my photography

Overcast part of the day (but the sun peeking out and lighting up his/her tail-so cute)

My lovely neighbourhood raven came to visit outside my window with 4 friends. We had a young group of 7 recently nearby, likely the same guys.

This guy's the reason I bought my camera, so I'm glad he's modeling dutifully

Dealing with recurrence anxiety + surveillance

Hi,

I'm a young adult ig, had germ cell immature teratoma (stage 1a, grade 1, early stage but mighty large tumor lol). Only needed surgery, so far, and following a surveillance plan with my surgeon and other doctors at my clinic.

I'm about 7 ish months out from the surgery, and while I'm grateful that I was not in need of chemotherapy because of the grade of my tumor, I still feel like I can't move forward sometimes. I feel like the worst, most ungrateful person in the world, and I know that chemotherapy is an awfully hard thing to go through.

I don't know where I land in the cancer world, some people in my life seem to talk about it like it wasn't quite cancer, even though it was. Some people avoid the topic as a whole and want me to be happy and move along. I feel like my life has been changed, and I can't think of anything else at times. I have a lot of doctors appointments all the time, and scans and bloodwork, and I know I'm preaching to the choir but holy sh*t I'm always scanning my body for any changes.

My social worker says cancer is cancer, and I'm allowed to have feelings about it but Im still caught between wishing it felt like a distant past issue, and needing to talk about it. I don't feel right taking up space in a local support group or social group, but I don't relate to a lot of people my age anymore that have never had a cancer diagnosis.

I'm sorry if I sound like a brat, or if I've posted things like this here before lol (I'm sure I have) but I just feel like I'm going crazy

Trying to find bra (in person shopping/try-on) but everything is 32+band

So I have always worn no padding no wire bralettes, and decided I wanted to branch out. Still not really interested in padding, but calculated and measured my size for the first time (using ABTF calculator)

It says I'm a 30DD (which still seems odd and big for me but I know it doesn't necessarily mean big) and I'd say I have small ish, a bit fuller on the bottom and sides boobs.

I'm looking online at stores I know we have in my city, and everything only goes down to a 32 band size?

I could be misunderstanding how it works, I know stores are also sort of weird about sizing so I'm not really keen on popping into VS and asking. But I do want to physically try on some bras but not sure if it's worth my time at these stores lol

I'm in Canada, for reference.

Normally would buy bralettes at Aerie or Simon's, but not sure how to venture out.

Any info, advice and recommendations would be lovely

Update: Simon's had some good options that actually fit my measurements perfectly! Or at least close to it. Super super comfy. My life is changed lol I tried on B and C cups cause the D cups looked too big on the rack and had the shocking realization that the D cup was perfect. Mind blown. Still happy to hear other recs!

First (and hopefully only one more forever) kidney stone passed?

Couldn't have been more than 3mm. I had an unrelated CT scan that caught two kidney stones, one 3mm and one 4mm. This came out today, saw it in the toilet. Praying that it's a kidney stone but I'm no expert lol

Thankfully no pain, just a funny muscle spasm feeling in my back and then had to pee 🤷‍♀️

Please tell me if this looks like a kidney stone 🤞

Pain on one side during period

I've had a large tumor removed and my left ovary and fallopian tube with it, and 7(?) months out from surgery. All successful, grade 1 stage 1 removed and under surveillance.

I'm at the start of my period right now, sort of spotting/officially starting it. I'm feeling a very similar cramping in my left lower side, and a bit in my leg.

I'm only worried because it feels very similarly to when I first had symptoms of the cancer.

Does anyone experience this? Is it just scar tissue reacting to the cramping from my period?

I know to call them if it persists after my period ends but just curious if this is universal lol
