Can't get insurance, credit agreement

I'm 17 and want to pay for insurance monthly, I found a quote for £200 per month as I'm buying a cheap car and insuring that. I found a black box policy w/ carrot insurance and when going to pay I can't change the bank details to anyone other than the policyholder. Policyholder also has to be the main driver so I can't get my parents to open the policy.

I'm stuck rn as I'll be getting the car soon so I need to get insurance fast, but since I'm 17 and monthly payments are basically a loan, I can't legally pay for it. I wouldn't mind that if I was allowed to have my parent make a loan and I'd transfer money to pay it off.

Any suggestions?

Test today!!

I have a test at 10:34am, done around 23 hours of manual lessons and feeling mostly confident. Just ate a banana and a protein shake, wish me luck 😁

Edit: Pass, first time!!!! Test was so short + easy, got 2 minors for signal, and vehicle checks (pressed front demister instead of rear) So happy to have passed so I can finally have some more freedom. I'll be driving around for fun the next few weeks 😅

Year 12 summer advice?

I've not been putting any effort whatsoever this entire year, I don't think I have ever really taken academics seriously in my life. In GCSE's I got pretty mediocre grades bc I studied the night before for everything (887766655).

Like many people taking biochem at A-Level, I've been thinking I want to go into medicine - but due to my low effort, I need to catch up during the summer on ALL 3 of my subjects + get As/A*s in my Year 13 mocks in September - which I hope to use those grades for my predicted as the grades I have now are severely lacking. I don't think catching up will be that difficult, I have an understanding of all the topics but my understanding is pretty weak and I have some areas which I need to quickly learn. I think the exam practice will be the hardest part.

^(For context: I've been very close to being kicked out of my sixth form bc of low attendance & low grades, advised that I should get checked out for ADHD by learning support staff, I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis)

I'm feeling severely unprepared for UCAS or anything like that. I haven't even signed up for an account yet. The only thing I could add is that I've been volunteering at a charity shop for a few months now, attended an NHS online work experience day. I also haven't done anything that would stand out, like Olympiads, research, etc.

I'm planning on buying some books I'm interested in and reading them + giving my thoughts on what I think is interesting, also maybe listening to some medical podcasts. I'll ask my college for some help too, since I have 1 week left. I've emailed every hospital/GP near me and they're all full for work experience. Would it be too late to apply for it during Year 13?

Can anyone help me get started? Any advice would be very appreciated :)

Getting Kicked out of Sixth Form (yr 12)

Just want to preface by saying I haven't been diagnosed, but I am seeking a diagnosis (already called my GP, but I've been procrastinating going through the RTC process)

I go to a sixth form college, meaning we have a bit more freedom than a sixth form. I think this has been worse for me since I have different schedules each day and my waking up times have been all over the place the whole year. My attendance is around 70% and I'm getting Us in every topic test I do, because I'm so behind. I feel so lazy and unmotivated, my friend is going through more stressful times atm but they're still on top of their studies. So idk what is wrong with me

It's 9am as I write this and I've skipped the past week because I keep telling myself I can't go to Chemistry or Psych until I've studied for the tests my teachers will give me. For context I also flopped the mock exams and I have to retake them, the mocks were in March, so I've somehow avoided the exams for 2ish months yet I've not done any revision still.

My attendance was a problem at secondary too, I got 2 fines for it but now I'm being threatened to get kicked out of my sixth form and I don't know what to do. I've had 3 warnings and I'm now on the final stage, my brain told me I would lock in at the final warning but I still can't seem to care enough. I just feel so burnt out, I was even in a suicidal state of mind for 2 weeks bc I feel that I'll fail at everything and I'll never achieve anything that would make my mum proud.

I wouldn't mind retaking in a different school (would be too ashamed to stay at this one) but the fact that I can barely make friends here (except for friends that came from secondary w me) means I definitely wouldn't make any at another. I'm very socially anxious and it has only gotten worse after secondary. My mum has given up on telling me off when I stay at home since it's an everyday thing now - I just feel safe at home, no forced talking, won't be seen as a lonely weird person that can't even get good grades

Anyone have any advice/tips?

Inside of nose piercing covered in mucus

I got my nose pierced in March (2 months old, internally threaded labret), and it's had an irritation bump pretty much the whole time. I haven't downsized yet because of the bump.

I've got NeilMed now and spray it once everyday for the past 2 weeks and it has been getting better (I did use the BaseLabs spray before but I was made aware of the ingredients), but I've been checking on the inside of my nose and the flatback is surrounded by mucus. It's not dried up but when I try to get it off with a qtip it won't budge. I'm worried that it might be affecting the piercing because I want to keep it clean

Should I downsize so that no mucus can build up between the flatback and the inside wall of my nose?
