Itch to get short hair

For 20 years now I have my hair long. 95% of the time I have a ponytail or messy bun because of sport /my job in healthcare and I am annoyed super fast when it’s open.

I add some hairstyles I found scrolling through social media that I liked.

I am just super insecure about changing and it feels like a big step.

I identify as bi/pan so hairstyle doesn’t has to look „hetero“ . I grew up in a high control group and it wasn’t allowed to have a masculine/queer hairstyle.
Luckily I am out maybe the wish for a haircut is connected to it.

(Sorry for my English, it’s not my native language)

Talked to two mormon missionaries today

Today on my way home a saw two Mormon Missionaries (two girls). I recognized them from the distance as I am exjw (32yo female)

I was curious if they will talk to me and gave them a smile so they started with their message.
When they asked me about Jesus I told them that I once believed because I grew up as Jdub but decided to left two years ago. I feel sth. changed I could see it in their eyes but they responded exactly like a Jdub would if someone would say the dame about another religious group.

They asked politely what happened that I left. I didn’t went into details but mentioned that I started reading the bible to proof the teachings and contradictions of the teachings that I found in the watchtower. Further I told them how the group reacted when I started heaving doubts and how family and friends reacted/ cut us off when we questioned the man made rules of the governing body who claim to spoke for God.

They tried to convince me to continue to speak later again to them but I declined in a nice way and said that I will never join another religious group after leaving the Witnesses.

Maybe I could made them think a little bit.
I from my own experience that the most confusing thing was people declining in a nice way and seemed happy with their life.

Sorry for any mistakes since English isn’t my native language.

Story from a cult cousin (exjw)

Not sure about which flair to use, hope it is ok.
And sorry for any mistakes since I am no native speaker.

They tried to convince me to continue to speak later again to them but I declined in a nice way and said that I will never join another religious group after leaving the Witnesses and their control mechanism.

Maybe I could made them think a little bit.

Just wanted to share.
Have a nice weekend ☀️

Ratschlag gesucht
