From hell's heart I stab at thee

Removed the last clump today. I didn't have any good "before" pictures but I tried my best. I also hope reddit maintained the order of the photos...

This bamboo had spread to a number of places (not pictured). Thanks a lot to the previous house owner who planted this, unaware of its power.

Found a couple of remnants today

Found some shoots in areas I thought I had cleared, about 1.5mo ago.

I found the one in pic 4 first, not connected to anything, in one of my trenches. Clueless how I could have missed it, or perhaps I dug it up from somewhere else and put it there and forgot it, lol...

Then I was about to call it a day when I spotted the second one in the lawn. Have barely mowed all summer because it's been so dry and barely grown any grass, but a few days ago I mowed, I guess that made it possible to see this "bent" shoot. This one bothers me because I had dug out rhizomes in precisely this area before, so how did I miss it? Sigh...

Oh well, not much to do but keep looking out, I'm done digging trenches for this year 😄

Today's "harvest" of rhizomes

Cut down the bamboo mid June, now I'm cutting shoots every other day and occasionally digging up roots. Good times 🙃

[Android] Notification inbox doesn't show the latest notifications

The app shows that I have new notifications, so I go to see what the messages are, but they're not visible (in the list of messages). If I restart the app and go to notifications, the messages are now visible.

To clarify, this is NOT about comments not showing in a post, this is about the notification inbox

"Have you seen this yet?" Apps that add text when you share

When you share something on Netflix to someone they embed some text like "have you seen this yet". There's a few other apps that do the same. So annoying. I'll write the text myself thank you very much

Dining in? Here's your takeaway box for a plate and your dip in a plastic cup.

Yes it's convenient for the restaurant and it's not fancy food anyway, but it just cheapens the whole experience for me 🤷
