Popped in to a Record Exchange here in Chicago and was surprised to see a Hulk #3 behind the glass of a store that primarily sells old games and music. Asked if they would take $200 and they were happy to. They said it had been sitting around for a while.
It was at the Music Box in Chicago, I rolled up with a whole wagon full of tapes that I have been wanting to part with. I was surprised that most of the vendors weren’t really into trading. They just wanted to sell, but there were a few that still made a couple little swaps with me. The best part was trading with the other people that came, but I was blown away by the deal I got on the Chopping Mall and Doom Generation tapes. I paid $65 for both. The rest were trades for some of the tapes that I brought.
It was fun to think about Chicago treats through the turtle filter. I assume Ooze would taste a lot like Malört and they would definitely pick the portable Pizza Puff over sloppy Deep Dish.
Picked up a Pizza Thrower from a vintage toy store recently (shoutout to Quake in Chicago!) and went to check the battery compartment. Somehow the batteries were still in there and they expired in 1992. Pretty sure they’ve been sitting inside this thing for over 30 years. The battery compartment was a little corroded but easy to clean up, still works great!
2/10 tasted more like a soggy cheesesteak

In Minneapolis for work and had a stretch goal of seeing the 6-foot Shogun Godzilla by @dustincropsboy at @time_bomb_vintage. It somehow exceeded expectations in person. Check it out if you’re ever in the area!
