To all the discord Online players. I just discovered Soncraft free had a time limit and I need alternatives!

Like the title says, I just found out that soncraft on discord has a limit. I've been using it for months and I've never noticed it run out of time before but tonight mid-session the sound effects and ambience just went off. Said I ran out of time. I don't really want to pay seven bucks a month or 80 bucks a year.

I didn't know if anybody had any good free alternatives. I think ambient sound, board effects and background of music are some of the best immersive things you can do for a vtt based game. And I particularly enjoy controlling it over discord versus trying to do it in roll 20.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

How close do you all think WOTC will make their new colab to saga?

Obviously game mechanics will resemble 5.5e more but hot damn this is exciting times! I hope they use saga as a basis for this new announced colab!

Finally got a GM Blackberry Lemonade

Our local Hy-Vee has started stocking multiple flavors of Gorilla Mind. I finally got to try the blackberry lemonade.

It tastes all right. It's definitely an odd flavor in a good way. Reminds me a lot of Bloom and I dig bloom

Lots of blackberry flavor minimal lemonade tartness.

Not an every day craving but welcome change in routine.

6.5 out of 10

Solid wyvern tier

Thanks Bots for taking away my 1k download celebration....

Hey all, just wanted to gripe a little bit. We had been inching closer and closer to the thousand download mark and I've been enjoying watching the listens creep up. But the last 3 days, the bots have invaded... We went from having a steady amount of single digit to low double-digit listeners, then boom 44, then boom 48, then today 488... Knocked me clean over the thousand download Mark.

My coho says I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth and maybe the extra downloads will help us show up in more algorithm somehow. But I'm kind of disappointed. I didn't get to see us hit the thousand download number naturally...

What the heck are they downloading the podcast for? AI training? God help them if they're listening to us... I just don't know what else they'd have to gain from it.

Don't sleep on Bloom

It's pretty amazing, lower caffeine, Theanine, sugar free even has Apple cider vinegar and a gram of fiber. But really it comes down to the taste. I have yet to have one of these that tasted bad, and I've tried every flavor except peach mango. It slaps, absolutely a Dragon tier Energy Drink.

I'm considering a rather ambitious endeavor.... I'll start by saying I believe 5e has too many options. It tries to be everything for everyone and homebrew worlds struggle because they have to fit the astronomical choices players have in spells, subclasses, races, etc. IF you are like me and want a very narrative driven, immersive game that stands out and is unique, it's painful to try and force your weirdly shaped world into a dnd shaped box.

So my question , who has successfully changed multiple to game rules, modified the magic system, the subclasses, etc to fit a homebrew setting without limiting them to the point of not enjoying the game. I want narrative, world driven reasons for subclasses to exist, magic works differently in my setting, who has changed the magic system to fit their world?

Let's have a discussion on it!
